A transplanted Chicagoland person who will never miss snow and hadn't seen a dirt road in over 40 years.....until I moved here.
I have an extensive road building background, paved runways @ O'Hare Field at night for 2 years, involved in 11 separate Interstate Highway projects and was elected a President of my homeowner's association and was able to get our gravel roaded subdivision paved not because of my political acumen but because I was an asphalt plant superintendant. I smile at the trials and tribulations of fellow Clay County residents as we wait for the road graders to show up and will offer any insights if needed.
