Ridgeview high school
Graduation Day!!!
It is graduation day in Clay County and with that I am writing my first blog!!I just want to say congratulations to all the seniors that have made it through high school. I especially wanted to say congratulations to Cameron and Clayton (Trey) Henderson who will be graduating from Ridgeview High School tonight. These two brothers have been an inspiration to me and my son for a few years now and although I am not their family I am so very proud of them. Trey especially has been a wonderful role model for my son along with their parents. As the single mother of a special needs son, Trey has proved to me that although the dreams I have for my son might take a little longer to achieve he can do it. Thank you Trey and Cameron Henderson and Sherri and Lee Henderson, their parents, for making me see and showing me and Danny that anything really is possible if you work hard enough for it http://www.firstcoastnews.com/news/news-article.aspx?storyid=96160
Columbia defeats Panthers, wins playoff berth
Ridgeview needed to take a lot of chances Friday night to try to beat a very talented Columbia team and steal its way into the state playoffs. But those chances didn't quite pay off the way the Panthers needed them to, and by virtue of a 29-10 loss, they'll be staying home for the post-season. Columbia (7-2; 2-1 District 5-4A) has earned the runner-up playoff spot behind district-leader Nease. Ridgeview (4-5, 1-2) will end its season next week at powerful St. Augustine.
