Save our Constitution

Political Action Committees have now filed their 4th quarter reports for 2007. 

Save our Constitution, Inc., (PC) report shows the following major contributors:

   $10,000 each from A Duda & Sons, Inc of Ovieda, Assoc Industries of FL, AT&T FL and Fla Health Care Association, all of Tallahassee and Associated Buildrs & Contract, Tampa.

   $25,000 contributors were Floridians for Conservative VA of Tallahassee and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., of Bentonville, AR.

Save our Constitution, Inc., (PC) financed the Honorable John Thrasher letter of 9-6-2007 trying to get signers of FLORIDA HOMETOWN DEMOCRACY, INC.,  (PC) Constitutional Amendment Petition Form to revoke their signature.

According to news media reports, Save our Constitution, Inc., (PC) will not reveal how many signature revocations they have obtained.  Guess what, the information is available online from the FL Div. of Elections and current!

Go to http://election.dos.state.fl.us/initiative/list.asp.  Once there, scroll down to Ballot #05-18 and click on Title, then on signatures/view by District, then signature by County.  As you can see, there are NO Revocations in Clay County and only a total of 584 state wide as of 12-29-07. 

Imagine that!  Looks like voters did not think much of Mr. Thrasher's letter! 

Bingo - I now have a copy of the above letter dated September 6, 2007!  The letter was indeed paid for by Save our Constitution, Inc., (PC) and is so stated by the disclaimer on bottom of letter.  It' s three pages plus the petition revocation form already filled in & ready for a signature.

The letterhead says "THE HONORABLE JOHN THRASHER" and underneath in smaller letters "Former Speaker of The Florida House of Representatives".

I wish all of you could see and read it.  If there is a way to scan/post it here, advise so I can do it.  One sentence on page three reads "Unless you want higher property taxes, higher utility bills and Florida scenic beauty destroyed by Big Developers, you certainly want to revoke your signature from their petition".
