The law suit brought by Roy Lyons against the various parties concerning whether to have 7 Commissioners or 5 Commissioners appears to be an attempt to intimidate and interfere with Constitutional guaranteed conduct of law abiding citizens, and those who finally recognized that they had a duty at accept the lawfully gathered Petition.

I am not a member of the CTLAC but I did sign, and asked others to sign the petition since it reflects reasonable and responsible actions in austere times. Clay County has a $5,000,000 dollar budget deficit, why compound it with unnecessary positions drawing unreasonable salaries and benefits for a part time position.

THE BUBBLE THAT DID NOT BURST ACCORDING TO WHOM

Today I would like to discuss and ask that you all consider whether you think the large 3 DRI’s proposed for Clay County should be delayed? I ask you be honest in your feelings and do not hold back any thoughts.

As an appraiser I have certain information sources the average person does not have so I want to share with you some of the facts about Clay Counties real estate market as of June 28, 2008. These following figures do not count homes for sale by owner or sales by owners . The following is extracted from Multiple listing service from North East Florida, the numbers reflect active listings as of this date etc .

An Independent running for office in Clay County Florida has been described as having virtually no chance of winning office. Typically the description is the unflattering edition of the subject line. Why? A simple look at the Clay County Supervisor of Elections website which shows 113,282 registered voters of which 63,618 are Republican, 29,232 are Democrats, and then there is other 20,432.

The odds are against anyone who is not a Republican to win or even come close to winning. Why would anyone with a smattering of intelligence want to take on the odds. In my case it is because I believe it is time that we have a choice and because of the history of mistakes and political patronage that has taken place is totally understood by today’s electorate and they want change.
