More Reasons Not To Trust The Democrats

Here are the latest stories giving a clear look at what the dems stand for. This first one is why we should look very closely at how the government spends our money.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/06/19/nih-funds-study-men-dont-like-use-condoms/

This story shows the arrogance and disregard the ruling party has for the law. Despite clear and overwhelming evidence, this creep gets a "bye" from democrat prosecutors. Burris belongs in prison not the Senate.

http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/06/19/burris.perjury/

And let's not forget Representative William Jefferson and his cold cash bribe. Remember John Murtha and his solicitation of bribes from ABSCAM? How did he avoid a court date? Who protected him? Twenty nine years later and this bozo is still being elected by "good" democrats. Go figure.

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/06/04/politics/main2882231.shtml

How about the ever radiant John Edwards? Now there is a stand up guy. Heard his wife on NPR today. I don't get why a woman who seems bright and capable would stay with such a whoremonger. I don't get democrat women. (Well, not anymore. When I was single they were very easy to get but I'm married now.) Innocent Let's not forget Silda Spitzer either. What is wrong with these women.?

Now, don't get me wrong, there are loads of crooked and immoral republicans to expose too. But I am really fed up with the voglthang's partisanship trying to convince us the democrat party is the answer to anything. Once someone starts parading that sorry ass party (reps) around like V does with her bunch of criminals I'll be back with another dirty laundry, list.

OGV,

I have to admit that I'm a bit surprised.  As an indie, I can understand why you're suspicious of the Dems just as you would be suspicious of the Reps.  So let's put this in perspective.  The perspective of the far right ConReps, in the same language & thought processes with they are are so familiar & have used so many times before.  Here it is.

OMG.  FOX!  So you mean that far right leaning Conservative mouthpiece for far right conservatives?  You can't trust what they say.  After all, look who they have as their mouthpieces.  O Reilly, Coulter, Malkin, all far right extremists.  Before you know it, they'll have Limbo in there spouting his far right views & we ALL KNOW where that can leave us.

See how easy that was?  Even in this heat, I didn't break a sweat.  No responsible thought processes.  No critical thinking.  Right out of the far right textbook.  Attack the political leanings while diverting from the real question.  How accurate was the information?  When was the last time we saw that thinking from the far right?

Now IF, & I emphasize, IF, the information was accurate, should we not ask for an accounting from more than one source?  Yes, I am aware that this tack might be beyond the far right mindset, such as it is.  But some of us must be thinking.  After all, if we were like them, we would be promoting abstinence only teaching in schools. Dinosaurs living along with humans.  Yeah.  That was a real check on reality.

So let's look at the real question.  Is the information accurate?  Where are the opposing views?  What other sources can we rely on?  (Sorry far right people.  I know that questions like these can confuse & bother you.  But they must be asked by responsible people.  You just can't be entrusted to think realistically or responsibly) Let's start at this point & go from there.  And let's admit that we must face the facts.  Is the Vthang all THAT much different from TH? I think not.  A pain?  Yes.  But real thinking must be done as all responsible people know.  As for the rest of the weekend?  Enjoy, be careful of the heat.  JATFUR.

I cannot even begin to understand your response to OGV in this thread. The sources that he gave were "spot-on" (IMHO) as there were references for the statements made in the articles (IE the link to the PDF file of the Grand Jury Indictment) this in and of itself discredits your arguement for additional sources.

As far as FOX news I am neither a fan nor against them. They are simply a news source HOWEVER I do not see FOX news setting up shop in the white house! Nuff said about that...

Compairing V to TH and saying that they are the same is a little bit of a stretch as V is very inconsistant with the postings, hardly ever produces sources or gives credit to those that actually author the information that he/she provides. TH on the other hand generally does provide that information. Are they both "off center"? Well that is very apparent I believe that V may be on the far or extreme left where I believe that TH is probably on the moderate side of the right (I'LL bet TH will disagree with me on that).

In 10 minutes you can find print on "Dirty Politicians" from both sides in equal distribution.

As long as there are Hyphinated (sp) Americans, Big Government, uneven taxation, and as long WE as Voters reelect these Special Interest seeking, money hungry, back door politicing politicians we will always be a divided Country and Vunerable to the "left or right" way of thinking.

Remember everyone, like RichK said be careful of the heat this weekend kiddies...drink your liquids and whenever possible get a teenager to mow the grass!!

When you are talking about the right wing extremists on Fox, do not forget the worst one of all, Glenn Beck.  Talk about Right wing extremists, he is the most fear mongering one of all that never has any one source that is not credible.  Well crap, I tried to be non right wing extremist, oh well I guess I cannot change my programming that Fox news has worked so hard on.  Those subbleminal messages coded within their broadcast, youve got to admit are very good.  How else could their ratings be so high compared to all the other government controlled media out there.  I guess the mental control apps that they bought from China are deffective and the psycologist that the Obama administration has put on retainer must have got their diplomas from India.  It just seems while I have been attending to other business elsewhere, some on here have really gone completely bonkers.  Especially that V person, talk about brainwashing, that person really needs to stop listening to Andy Johnson's local radio staion programming.  This person sounds as if they are Obama's personal teleprompter, or is reading verbatum from his campaign website.  Or is this just a ploy from that corrupt A.C.O.R.N group to get us off gaurd before thery come to threaten us with jail time if we do not give them our personal information on the 2010 Census??  To me V sounds just like every other stooge out there that wants to personally have their hand in helping destroy whatever is left of our country at this moment in history.  This is coming from a PROUD RIGHT WING EXTREMIST, if you consider someone is this if they believe in the real truth of our country, past and present.  these truths were not self evident in the culture that we live today, unless you actually go out and do your own research.  NEVER BELIEVE ANYTHING YOU READ OR HEAR UNLESS YOU DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH.

Rich, I think you are being a bit over sensitive. You'll note the three links consist of a FOX story, a CBS story, and a CNN story. When it comes to news, I don't really believe one is less biased than another and as the FOX story was about a stupid government expenditure, I don't know why I would need two stories on that subject without having to get two stories from CNN amd CBS. (Let's be honest, are you ever surprised when you read a story from anywhere relating something incredibly stupid the government wants to do?) To me, the New York Times, CNN, any network are all ruled by personal bias, not necessaritly a conspiratorial order handed down from the democrats themselves. But they do all tend to favor the liberal faction. Heck they even admit it. It was reported by themselves that 91% in the media vote democrat. I ain't gonna argue with them about their own figure. I think we all read enough stories on Burris and Jefferson from a number of sources. This condom story is new. I'm sure more will follow.

But don't get all whigged out. This was just a return shot to the Voglthang. She made all kinds of horrible, partisan accusations for no other reason than to stir up emotions. Where she gets the idea this is a republican only site is just confusing. Anyway, the posting was just to put things in perspective. I do belive the parties involved in these immoral actions should be in prison but that's just me. I really believe we need to double the prisons we no have.

Finally, I don't know if you missed it, but I have stated here that I do enjoy Ann Coulter as well as Susan Estrich. I read both every Saturday although I have to read Coulter online as the T-U edits the column with a chainsaw. So, Independent I remain and apppreciative of most views I shall always be. We don't always agree but I always respect your view. You are a great friend and a worthy adversary.

I have been been pondering whether you might be here just to create chaos on a Republican website, because I have heard rumors of organized efforts with that intention.

Here is what I replied to Travis' statement:

This is not a Republican Website. You have made a fatal error there yourself. Republicans do not own this website. I am here because I can be. . . . .

It's me again, Joe! The referencing is for you.

OGV, Village Idiots are cunfused people . . . was that you wandering down Blanding talking to yourself this afternoon?

Remember your recent confusion between psychologists and psychotherapists? You said they were the same thing. Based on your reasoning elephants and electricity are the same thing too.

Lastly, you state at the beginning of this thread, in your first sentence, that these are the LATEST stories. The third one is dated 2007.  This is 2009.

Based on your reasoning I can refer to Nixon and his abortion of the Presidency as only having just happened yesterday!

OK.  You caught me having fun after a 13 inning CUBS win.  I couldn't pass it up.  MOI sensitive?  You are one of the few people who would accuse me of being sensitive.  If I am sensitive, it is with a firm conviction that I do it with TIC. (toungue in cheek)

Let me make the rounds with OGV, Seth & Joe.

My example of using FOX was nothing more than what we've read so many times before from the right when sources were given.  It seems to be in the textbook.  Discredit the source, ignore the accuracy. Personally, As I've stated before, I mainly watch CNN for the national/international news.  Maybe more than FOX, but I do watch Fox.  Except for any opinion segments.  For my tastes, FOX is too right, CNN too left.

Perhaps ABC will be known as the mouthpiece for Obama just as FOX had the reputation of being Bush's mouthpiece.  Time will tell.  OGV, I've said it before & I'll say it again.  Pretty much every news org will be biased in their opinions.  Rightly so.  But as far as giving the bare bones news, they're all pretty accurate, within certain limitations not connected to political leanings.

IMHO V & TH are at opposite ends of the political pole.  That's neither good, nor bad.  Many of us are at opposites.  They are just more vocal and both seem to have the need to rehash second rate news stories for their own purposes.  Maybe they think that we don't get enough news from the air waves or print.  Maybe they are showing all of us their creative sides.  I really don't know or care.  But being opposite is a similarity.

When it comes to the likes of Glen Beck, Coulter, Grace or O'Reilly, I don't even want to be in the same room when they're on.  Their only saving grace is that they make money for themselves & their orgs by appealing to the masses.  Not my cup of tea.  Or coffee.

Well, I'm going to get a few chores done before the tripple digit heat comes roaring in.  Please everyone, be careful out there if you have to be out there.  Take it from me, a person who had heat stroke & dehydration.  It's no picnic at all.  Stay in if you can.  Enjoy & a happy Fathers day to all who are fathers.  JATFUR.

Where do I begin?

Fox News was not a mouthpiece for Bush, when he screwed up they reported on it and when he did good they reported on it. They are doing the same with Obama. Fox News is the most fair and balanced TV news outlet out there with more people watching them then CNN, ABC. CBS, NBC, and MSNBC combined.

As far as Bill Oreily being a far right.....All I will say is that anyone that would call him far right has either never watched his program on a regular basis, is confused by the term far right, or on the far left themselves and want to discredit the truth.

Af far as me being far right.......I don't think anyone that would lable me far right has been paying attention. I don't think someone on the far right would be Pro-Choice, I am on the record here of that position. I don't think someone on the far right would be for gay civil marriages, I am on the record here for being for it. I don't think you will find many white women that have been married to a black man for 30 some years in the extreme far right sector.

I am a staunch constitutional conservative that hates socialism and has no problem in using my free speech to point it out when I see it happening right under my nose.

Joe:

Thank you I consider myself down the middle and balanced. I have been fair providing sourses and encouraging people to research topics deeper to come to their own conclusions and opinions and I am on record here of doing so.

There are a few people here that would like to paint me (lable) with their own bush, but no worries here that is the nature of the beast. I think the majority know where I stand.

The voglthang says: Remember your recent confusion between psychologists and psychotherapists?

It's not cofusion you hairy old bat, it's contempt. People preying on the mental problems of others for money with no more a cure than some phony witch doctor. People like that are despicable.

The troublemaker also states: Lastly, you state at the beginning of this thread, in your first sentence, that these are the LATEST stories. The third one is dated 2007.  This is 2009.

I am surprised in your deluded state you do know the year. The "latest" was referencing the waste of money on the condom study. The other stories are ongoing criminal proceedings and utter disregard for law by the democrat party, as vile an istitution as any ever founded. Racists, first and foremost from Andrew Jackson on. I can see where you might get your conclusion in parsing my statements and I won't argue your concluson. I could be clearer but only with people more worthy than you. It's irrelevant to the larger conversation. Besides, I notice you do not take issue with any of the stories.

If the Republicans had any gonads at all they would have outlawed the democrat party as domestic terrorists when they had full control. That organization is on a par with NAMBLA, a favorite of the ACLU. Not the kind of company I would keep.

Finally:  OGV, Village Idiots are cunfused people . . . was that you wandering down Blanding talking to yourself this afternoon?

Unlike you, I am not a street walker.
