CLAY CO ANIMAL CONTROL was so Filthy it was Disgusting

One of the biggest problems at CCAC is overcrowding there are always more dogs and puppies comming in and not enough space to house them thus you have too many dogs crammed into pens. This is a sad fact and also the primary reason for euthanasia.

The staff at CCAC are constantly cleaning those pens and when you pack that many dogs (5 to 10) into pens designed for 2 large dogs well......stuff happens and when you got to go, you got to go.

CCAC staff does not mistreat any animals at CCAC so I do not understand your comment " the way these poor dogs were being treated ". Not one single dog there is being mistreaed and if it was discovered they were, that person would no longer have a job.

Beside the fact that the pens were dirty again and needing an additional cleaning as is done over and over again throughout the day. Exactly what mistreament of these dogs did you observe ?

The overcrowing wouldn't be there if you work HARDER on Rescuing and resourse programs but you just make excuses. Thats the easy way out. Then killing thats easier.

However, the challenge is being dealt with head-on by expanding the shelter, hiring additional employees and most importantly, working to educate the public.

NO animals are mistreated at CCAC. That is a Lie.

The over population of animals at CCAC is the direct result of irresponsible pet owners and breeders in Clay County Period. Not CCAC.

All anyone would have to do is use some logic here. The less animals the staff have at CCAC the easrier their job becomes. Less poop to clean, less animals to feed, less animals to give meds to, less animals to care for. They love it when they can get animals adopted or rescued. One because they love animals and want to see them get good homes, and Two it is less animals to care for.

All rescuers and adoptors are always welcome and encouraged to go back at CCAC.

You asked how do I know because I am never there? True I do not go there every day but I do and can pick up the phone and talk to several folks there including Mrs. Goon and I have been there many many times over the years. I speak with them often thats how I know. Let me turn that question around and ask you the same thing. How do you know you're never there ? You have not been there for months every since you were thrown out.

Well first let me set the record straight AGAIN. 

Thats correct Don, I do not work at CCAC, but if makes you feel better to think I do thats ok it's your fantasy so enjoy.

I never said I was a man, Maybe another fantasy of yours, but yuck no thanks. I am a  woman, my name is Marie, and my husband is indeed a big beautiful black man.

On a brighter note I made a trip to CCAC today.

I am happy to report that all the staff were hustling and bustling in the heat with their faces flush and cloths drenched in sweat and feces as usual.

There were four (4) seperate rescue groups that came in to put a hold on animals they intended on comming back for at a later date.

The office was full of people reclaiming dogs, and looking to find a pet.

I was also informed that interveiws have been conducted and a new rescue coordinator should be in place within the next couple of weeks or so.

There was also a volunteer groomer there that was bathing and grooming dogs all day.

Everyone seemed happy, friendly, and polite and I was greeted by nothing but smiles as always.

They had an additional mini pony there that they just got in that was running loose, sweet little thing.

I am happy to say that even though the folks at CCAC are aware of what these 3 hateful  people are saying about them, their spirits are high and their dedication and love for the animals and job is unwavering.
