Kudos to Green Cove during Fay

I may be a little late with this but I have been out of town. I wasn't here during Fay but my wife told me what a good job all of the city workers did here in Green Cove during the storm. Although the lights did go out once at our home, she said the Electric Department got it back on really quickly. The Mrs. told me how she saw plenty of city Police cars riding by and checking businesses and also saw plenty of public works trucks on the streets. Good job guys,

DITTO...

The police department had their entire staff on duty for extra hours, the Police officers were stopping and clearing out storm drains and removing debri from the streeets, the public works employees were clearing out ditches and watching for flooding, the electrical company employees were showing-up at a moments notice to clear a power line that had a fallen limb or tree on it...EVERYTHING was handled in a VERY efficent manner....

We were with out power several hours, but it was not GCS electric dept fault. The line that was down was on Governor Creek and US 17.  It was a Dot line and we had to wait for the state to come in and fix it.

Yes we have the best group of folks in Green Cove Springs watching out for all the citizens. This is the best place to live.
