Thank you for running......
Thank you Mr. D'Andrea for running a clean race and taking an interest in the education of the children of Clay County. We hope to see you run again in four years! With more time to make you and your platform know to the voters, I'm sure we'll have different results and a fresh face on the School Board in 2012. My child will still be in public schools then so there is still hope!
What a nice letter to your supporters........... (taken from www.electdandrea.com)
I would like to thank all of those who have supported our campaign. For the last ten months we have met so many people in this great County of ours and have really enjoyed being able to listen and speak with those who have expressed an interest in our school system. Of course I have thought about what I would say if we had won this seat, but have found it much harder to come up with something to say to all of our supporters in these circumstances. I submit to you, our supporters, in this grass roots campaign that you shall not hang your head low but keep your head high. You should not feel depressed but uplifted that we were able to garner almost 10,000 votes and you should not feel like all your hard work was for naught as these efforts were honorable and done with the highest of professionalism and that is more important than the outcome of any election in my book. In closing this chapter of our campaign, I would like to say to all of those friends and candidates who have contacted us concerning our efforts with your kind words via the phone and e-mails that we appreciate your positive reinforcement and recognition of a job well and look forward to working with many of you in efforts to better our community. Sincerely, Duane D'Andrea
