I wanted to take a moment to pass along my THANKS and CONGRATULATIONS. I have been delayed in making this blog entry because I had 4 months of undone “honey-do list” and I dug into it, barely scratching the surface, yesterday. I needed to tackle as much as I could because I went under the knife for a minor surgery this morning and won’t be fully functional for about 2 weeks. (for something so small it hurts really bad, equal to a giant kidney stone I once had – OUCH!)
First a HUGE THANK YOU to my wife Carol and daughter Georgia for their support and belief in me. Also, I want to publicly thank those of you that supported me and voted for me. I think we have established a foundation for the future too. This was my first go at the process and I have learned a lot. To start from absolute zero in Mid-April and do as well as I did was no small feat. I will continue to support my community as a volunteer and will make myself available for assignment to serve on a committee or two should the need arise. I plan to run again in 2012.
Now, CONGRATULATIONS to all of the victors in all of the various races. I was especially pleased with the State Attorney’s race. Not all of the candidates I voted for won but hopefully they will be back in 4 years and make their presence felt.
It is also exciting that both candidates and constituents have this new medium, the MCS Blog, to share and discuss overall thoughts. Thanks to all who participated. Over the next 4 years let us all keep the conversations going on this blog.
So Long, but not Long Gone,
JD
