Political Burial in Green Cove Springs
I was at the McDonald's in Green Cove Springs for lunch today and happened upon a fresh burial plot that was in the vacant lot right next to the McDonald's. I snapped a few photos with my cell and thought I'd share with MCS. Wonder what kzmiax, PBinCC, LilRedHen, Scoopb4ugo, etc. etc. etc. think about these??
I know that the cell phone quality on these pictures isn't too great, so I zoomed in on them on my computer and here's what the tombstones say: IVEY & SPIVEY: "We gather together to bury Wayne Spivey, a snake and a low life, just like his friend Ivey. Buried together just like friends should be, for all of Clay County to come by and see. A small little man with a small little heart, he was a cheater, a liar and a mean little fart. In one coffin they both shall always lay, because neither of them were good for CLAY! Now Arthur, your body we place over Wayne, you can share the same grave, soak up the same rain. We'll bury your pump in your cold SHRIVELED HAND, in the hope you can pump out the water and sand. As the days turn to months, and the months to years, you'll both lie here to be judged by your peers. As they all walk by and stare at this mound, all will know you're not welcome in this town! So let it be known by all gathered this night, we've come to the end of another political fight. Now everyone knows that both of you FAILED, as we spit on your grave, as your coffin is nailed!" ARVID & PAIGE: "Scattered, ashes to ashes, dust to dust, Thank goodness, Arvid and Paige are no longer with us. Buried together just like friends should be, no longer a trouble to you or to me! One is an amazon, the other a bearded man, both love to Lie and Complain as much as they can. One loves to sue both family and friends, but try and try as she will, she cannot ever win! Spivey's our man, they both cried with delight. We'll get our jobs back after this political fight. He'll campaign hard to get us back in, we'll tell him what to say, se he has a chance to win. I'm guessing that you have to first be employed by Clay County before you can "get on the internet during working hours" and thus engage in "stealing from the taxpayers of Clay County." I do not work for Clay County or any government entity for that matter. Scoop; We are spending a LOT of taxpayer money on foolishness. And we will spending a LOT more of it on a 46.5 mile tollway if the money brokers have their way. I am glad that someone on this site can see wastefulness and express their opinion about it. The complacency in Clay County and the Complacency in the United States is going to destroy us. People will not stand up for what they believe anymore. It is pathetic. The general public does not want to hear the truth. They prefer to walk around with their blinders on and enjoy bliss until it knocks them down. I am not happy about all of the wins in this election, but people want what they voted for and now they have it. I hope that I do not hear another word of complaining about what happens in our County and our Country. The climate of it all begins at home. If you didn't vote, then you have no right to complain. Some of the people on this site do not know what they are talking about and I feel sorry for them. When they do wake up it will be too little too late. Nope, we actually had to log off of our systems here at work because the service we use to bill our clients had to be updated by our IT guy. Given what happened during the Taylor campaign with the fliers, it isn't much of a surprise that Beseler supporters are hitting back. If the tables were turned right now, I doubt they would have as much restraint as Beseler supporters have had, in reference to rubbing their face in the victory. I passed the "graves" on the way home and there were some "pick-'em-up trucks" parked in-front of them and some "upset-looking" individuals talking amongst themselves...I noticed that the signs ("tombstones" ) were gone...I am happy to not have to look at them on the way to work tomorrow... Justice for all, I am not Paige, I do not know who she is but I gather from the blogs it is someone you like to poke fun at. AS for the burials, I believe that this shows the true character of Jett and his supporters. How vile, juvenile and neanderthal of behavior. I guess neanderthal behavior basically describes the old male regime in Clay County. If you don't like your opponent, find any club you can, factual or not and beat them with it. I hope one day in the near future, Clay County will not be plagued with the low life politics of the Jett regime. Too bad, it probably will not happen in the next four years.

for a long time. Nothing new about them. Does this make it right? Over zealous supporters think so. It is one of the traditions of Clay County politics. Same place. Just that no one that didn't have business in GCS never saw them. They were usually taken down within hours. With the digital cameras and internet it has made it a lot easier for everyone to see them.

The ONLY one slinging mud in this campaign was Taylor. Live with it! I've lived in Clay County for 35 years, we have never had a better Sheriff.

I don't know if I would call 15k out of 115k a mandate and an approval of the wonderful job at the Sheriff's Office. I will say it was enough to get him elected. I wouldn't even call it a vast majority of the citizens. It was a majority of the ones that voted. 15K out of 115K? More half-truths to cloud the issue. Here are the tentative results just taken from the supervisor of elections web site. Do you see the number 15K anywhere there? Do you see the number 115K anywhere there? Of course not. Now you will begin a mad scramble to try to compare actual voters (apples) to registered voters (oranges). This type of thinking is the same kind of half-truths that were thrown during the campaign by those who were defeated. Amazingly, the negative comments continue from those who wear blinders. If you take the 115k and count the 17k who voted for the Sheriff. That still leaves 98k who either didn't want him to be Sheriff or could care less if he was. I wouldn't call that a glowing review either. But it is what it is for next 4 years. I would never underestimate the power of a drive by inking and with malice.
