They rule with fear and intimidation. Just like they have taken over the blogs. Anyone who speaks against them will be treated in a vile manner. They will call you names and attempt to discredit you.

As was reported by the FOP.

"The Fraternal Order of Police backs a candidate to take on incumbent Clay County Sheriff Rick Beseler.

FOP President Nelson Cuba says incumbent Sheriff Rick Beseler has not kept his promises to the union and ran the department with an iron fist.

"Sheriff Beseler has the mentality, of what I would call, being that, I come from a communist country and being of Cuban descent, I would call a Fidel Castro mentality," Cuba said." source WOKV

Do you see any similarities here on the blog?  Well the fearful warrior of the double dippers have said many will leave. Well they will run off the rest of the people who have served the community if the Iron Chef wins.

I been walking the neighborhoods in my area and talking to people. I sympathize with you guys. Let's hope for the best tomorrow.

When it's all done, either way, let's get back to doing what we do best, serving the citizens of this great county the best we can.

Angela (preferably your real name, which we all know):I will bash you! You and a menace to society and you don't know what you’re talking about. You don’t work there and you don’t know JACK! I wouldn't believe anything Cuba tells me. Have you ever been to a FOP event? Talk about the good ole boy system. There is more hand shaking and whispering going on at one of their events than any one election we've seen around here. Cuba made that comment about Sheriff Beseler because Beseler doesn't want to play by their rules. He does not want the union owning him. As Sheriff he earned the right to discipline his officers as he sees fit, not listen to the union. I believe it has been said before that the mud slinging is not coming from the Beseler camp.

Look back to Bravheart's post. He made a strong inference when he thank his supporters

Update

For the Taylor supporters who have written myself and later, my wife anonomous letters asking me to quit and join Taylors camp, I say "shame on you" for hiding in the weeds.  For Mr. Taylor who asked to meet with me and wanted me to drop out of the race to become a part of his "dream team", I say" shame on you" for approaching me in such a cocky, arrogant manner.  For those who tore down and stole my signs I say "shame on you" for hiding behind your badges to conduct vandalism and petty theft.

I say to the Beseler supporters "thank you" for being courteous towards myself and my family.  You have conducted a professional campaign.  Don't take that compliment to mean I still don't feel that I am best qualified for the job of Sheriff.

Here you go cut and paste queen in reverse order

http://www.firstcoastnews.com/printfullstory.aspx?storyid=46117

This has nothing to do with the SO other than he was there charged with crimes. Go to the ME’s office and get the facts. If it was so major and the SO was responsible, don’t you think the media would have been all over it? Nice try but you missed the target.

 http://wokv.com/localnews/2008/06/fop-wants-change-in-clay.html

Wow! This guy doesn’t even work at the SO. How would he know anything about the SO?  Kinda sounds like you! Oh wait, that’s right you don’t believe anything you hear, without evidence, just like nothing in the Folio isn’t correct either. Get real! You missed the target again.

 http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/042407/met_clay.shtml

I’d love to comment on this one but it’s an active case.  I guess everything that happens behind closed door s, in someone house, the Sheriff could prevent! Good example, but you’re still missing your target.

http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/021108/met_245742036.shtml

You got me on this one. I can’t figure how CCAC problems are the result of the Sheriff. I need a little help on that one but not from you.  I only see the problem with the deputy and it appears he addressed the minor violations of policy. I guess every time you did something wrong in the past it was someone’s fault but not yours. Kinda like that kid on Christmas day 2003, it was someone’s fault got arrested.

http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/101005/met_19988505.shtml

Since you’re so smart, tell me how this could have been prevented. When you come up with the solution for the problem, pass it on to Jacksonville, Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York to solve their domestic related murders. Even better, your solution will solve murder completely and we won’t have to worry about it anymore. By your mere statement alluding to inadequacies if the Sheriff, then it would be safe to say all heads of law enforcement agencies are inadequate because a murder happens. Stand by you about to have you phone ring with all of the people agreeing with you. IMHO, you’ll be waiting a long time. Missed again!

 http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/100105/met_19942454.shtml

Yep you got me on this one too. So what we need to do now it for every deputy is hired’ we’ll hire a new Sheriff (of course this is under you charter amendment) to sit with the deputy and make sure he doesn’t do anything wrong. Do you really believe the stuff you post? Talk about bashing. You’re outrageous! I would hate to be a waiter at a restaurant serving you. I would There’s no pleasing you.

http://www.news4jax.com/news/16357235/detail.html

We discussed this Weirer case many times over. You don’t have the facts and you’ll never get. The reports can’t be changed and there a factors that are out of the control of the SO (i.e. ME report, state not willing to prosecute). Fact of the matter is the SO can’t make up stuff to get a conviction. That’s our system of justice and it works. You still are missing your target.

 http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/052108/met_281106550.shtml

This is the same case but a different article. Are you trying to make it look like there is more than there actually is? Do you even read the stuff you post? The scarecrow image of you is coming back to me again.

 http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/051008/nec_277147158.shtml

Your point here is what? Forgot you never state your point you just cut and paste and figure people will side with you. Are you now blaming the Sheriff because participation is down? Make sure you look at the whole picture and not just what you want. I can’t see you angle here but you need to look why the program was moved from GCS. Is it because so other can participate? Naw forget it. Other kids in the county aren’t allowed to participate because they don’t live close enough to GCS. Why don’t you research the numbers of participants after they moved to the number before? I think you’ll be surprised; maybe not. Oh BTW how is this the Sheriff’s fault?

 http://www.firstcoastnews.com/news/topstories/news-article.aspx?storyid=64563

I guess you missed the part about the federal agency being involved and not the SO. You and the paper don’t have all of the facts and you need to get a copy of the internal report. You know where to get them.  Don’t make assumptions when you don’t have all the facts. The news article is only a brief synopsis of what really happen in the case. Did you also read, this time the SO caught something going on behind closed doors but you won’t acknowledge that because it won’t fit you agenda.

http://www.firstcoastnews.com/printfullstory.aspx?storyid=65977

Boy you really missed the mark on this one. Guess you didn’t know the deputy was getting beat up by this bad guy and a civilian came to his aid. God forbid the deputy protects himself. That’s not what led to the man’s death. Get a copy of the ME report and you will see there were factors that caused the death of this man that were not contributors by the deputy or the SO.  Again you missed your target and you will get no public support on this one, nonetheless any other of your other weak causes.

http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/092305/nec_19835865.shtml

You really got me on this one. Now the Sheriff controls behavior that occurs in other jurisdictions. What you fail to realize, just as most everything else you contribute here on the MCS blogs, is you lack of getting all the facts. This case was handled appropriately and this case could not be prevented. The lack of prevention came from the deputies involved and they chose to discard policy set forth and were held accountable.  You never post anything to back up your opinion. You don’t work at the SO and you will never will.  You are not objective and you fail to see life as it really happens. People do things there are not supposed to do. When caught they are held accountable.  I didn’t want to address all of you BULL but I tool a brief stab at it. There is a lot more is terms of these specific cases and if you took the time you to would come to a better understanding. But otherwise you’ll be miserable like you always are and you continue to have you butt handed to you all the time.

Sorry to the readers for typos and grammar it’s very early in the morning and I just got up. I think you get my point.

That should keep you busy while I look for the others. Cast your vote wisely tomorrow. Get a concealed weapons permit if things don't change because you may need it in Clay County.

Really that's all you ever post, hence that is why you are the cut and paste queen! BTW don’t get a concealed weapons permit your shooting skills are atrocious. Keep it up and you'll continued to get bashed by me and others with your nonsense!

With all the information you have been given over Taylor you still think change is better?  Hope you don't have a teenage daughter!  Why don't you tell that to the parents who have written here deserate to tell the truth about Taylor, his neighbors, church members, etc.  He is dishonest and that is something we don't need in a Sheriff!

Flawed analysis is commonplace here.

You cannot simply point to the fact that complaints have been filed and investigations were conducted as proof positive that wrong doing in fact occurred.

You must look at both side of the story and everything in between. You must look at all the players and ask what do they have to win or lose regarding the matter. You must determine the credibility of all the players. You must look at all the evidence obtained. The list goes on and on. My point is investigations and analysis is much more then a simple cut and past.

If you present the initial point of origin to an investigation on any matter as proof of guilt or wrong doing your analysis is flawed. It is just a starting point. If the investigation has been concluded and the claims have been unsubstantiated and you present the point of origin as proof of guilt without showing the outcome of the investigation you are being disingenuous and lose credibility.

I think the best way to avoid this is to let the real investigators and analysts do their job, then sit back read their findings. If you feel you would like to open up a dialog afterwards, open that dialog.

Not everything in Clay County Government is a sinister plot.

I agree everything in Clay County's government is not a sinister plot. All of the investigations that we have had come down to one common theme. Incompetence! We had 5 Commissioners, county manager, public works director and the list goes on. Sometimes you have to wonder how could you get so many incomptent people in one government.Smile

Angela, just one question.  Could you please list the names of the people that you are saying are incompetent and there were investigations on?  Including 'the list goes on".  I would just like an answer to that question and I will do my own research.

Thank you.

Mr. Pike when did they have the elections for the county manager. I must of missed that voting date. I did vote for Beseler the first time. I didn't make that same mistake this time.

Amie the list is so long I don’t have the time to list all of those people.

Maybe I should just start with the most recent comment. I’m watching the BCC meeting today. Bush asked if we were illegally maintaining a private with taxpayers' dollar?. As we should all know it is against the law to maintain a private road with taxpayer's money. Of course Scruby says he is not prepared to call it illegal. He don’t know when the county decided to start maintaining the road. He’s not sure which county employee decided to do that work. Evidently we have just been doing it for a long time. Thus it is not considered illegal but just incompetent now. So now we will do it legally by accepting the road. Is today current enough for you?

Let me tell you some words that should give you a cue when doing research. We didn’t have a policy, they didn’t have any guidelines. We did it but we can’t determine who decides it was okay to do. We found it legal to change the paperwork to fit our situation. We misplaced the paperwork and can’t find out who did it. Another favorite, In all my time I’ve never seen.

Angela;

Now there is one I can agree with you on. It seems as if there are way too many people that use a line that I believe came from 'The Simpsons'.

Just off the top of my head, there have been fairly recent investigations or inquiries of one type or another in the past couple of decades that involved the official actions of:

A sheriff, a clerk of court or two, a county manager, a supervisor of elections, a public works director, a SHIPP director, an auditing firm hired by the County Commission, and the County Commission as a whole and several members as individuals.

Incompetence, arrogance or whatever it is that makes public officials think they're above the rules is a substantial part of local political history.

"Mr. Pike when did they have the elections for the county manager. I must of missed that voting date. I did vote for Beseler the first time. I didn't make that same mistake this time." -Angela

That is a perfect example of you using part of a statement for your benefit.  What about the BCC? That is what my comment was actually directed at.  It doesn't matter if you voted for them, it was a joke about your mentality and lack of a thought process.

Submitted by Angela on Tue, 08/26/2008 - 5:12pm.

Sorry I can't read your mind. You were not specific as to who it was directed to or about. I was clear about Beseler. So I determine that was due to your mentality and lack of a thought process. Just wondering.

I think it takes more than the 5 commissioners to cause the amount of incompetence we seen in this county. Many of them who I did not vote for presently or in past.

I do think Mike Mann has started a good list. Smile
