The Plains of Hesitation

The end is in sight

The victory at hand

We have fought the good fight

For an honorable and just man

We cannot let up

We must push to the end

Our estimable Sheriff

We must defend

Pick up your phone

Pick up a pen

Or go to your keyboard

And contact a friend

Tell them Rick Beseler

Is the man to elect

Because his opponent

We cannot respect

Yes, Rick is the one

He’s the man for the job

Whose rightful place

Mike Taylor would rob

Another four years

We must guarantee

Let’s all vote RICK BESELER

For he deserves the victory

Supporters of Sheriff Rick Beseler:

Even though victory is at hand, it is not in hand. We cannot let up; we must press forward until the victory is assured. That means emails, phone calls, personal conversations, putting up signs and anything and everything we can lawfully and ethically do to guarantee that our Sheriff is victorious.  I imagine that everyone reading this probably knows someone that is still undecided of whom to vote for, for Sheriff.  If you believe as I do that Sheriff Beseler deserves their vote, please tell them so and tell them not to assume that their vote will not make a difference because it will. EVERY SINGLE VOTE COUNTS!

When I think about how close we are, these words come to mind.  Let them not be the dirge of this campaign.

 On the plains of hesitation

Lie the blackened bones of countless numbers

Who just before the dawn of victory

Sat down to rest, and resting, died

You are so correct. I had sent an email to my friends a while ago about the election. I missed one of my friends on the email and she called the other day because she had just learned of the Folio article. She had already decided to vote for Beseler but after our discussion decided to contact all her friends and tell them to vote for him also. I've learned a lot on the blogs and my group of friends have been sharing information about all the elections.
