negativity does not help Sherriff race

I recieved a very childish and cartoonish style mailing today bad mouthing Sherriff Besler. The person(s) that sent it didn't even have the guts to sign it other than "Anti-Besler Campaign". I don't want to hear negative. Do you not have anything postive to say about your candidate so I can make an informed decision based on what the candidate will do in the future, goals, and asperations? You do your candidate a disservice, whomever that may be besides Besler, and yourself by acting like a spoiled brat.

Have you not realized by now, the only way Taylor and his cronies think they have a chance is by trying to bash the Sheriff and his office.  He cannot win with his own experience as there are many more qualified candidates out there.  I have received some of the garbage myself and have learned that Taylor is a liar.

I received the same thing with the cartoon figure on it saying the Sheriff is asleep at the wheel. It also had a letter from Mr. Shorstein to Sheriff Beseler reference that Wier homocide investigation.  It had  a hand envelope addressed to me without a return address. Believe it or not I also got a flier from Mike Taylor at the same time. Is there a connection to Mike Taylor? NO Way!! if you dont beleive me just ask him. LOL

If you are man enough to send it out then you should be man enough to take responsiblilty for it.

I just placed it in the circular filing cabinet where it belongs.

There were three sheriff candidate adds in the paper today

1)A full page ad from Sheriff Beseler.  I don't consider this ad to be negative, but rather a defense by the Sheriff from negative ads from Taylor people.  The catch phrase is "Don't be fooled!  Beseler says no to union bosses."

2)A half-page add from Taylor that I consider to be somewhat negative, contains the same misinformation that he has been runing on all this time.  Ucharacteristically, it doesn't list his union endorsements.  What really annoys me is that it shows "Mike Taylor" contrasted against "opponent."  Underneath the word "opponent" is the word "incumbant" in parenthesis, in smaller letters, in a barely visible color.  I have been very annoyed that Taylor in print and in person has been ignoring the candidacy of Newman.  I don't know the probability of newman winning, but if he get's more votes than Taylor I will personally go to Taylors house and laugh in his face.

3)A full page ad from the Jacksonville public safety officers committee, which also says "opponent" rather than "opponents."  That is a very disrespectful attitude to take in a three candidate race.  The ad is worded very poorly.  It is deceptive in that it talks about the endorsement of police, firefighters, and teachers rather than the endorsement of their respective executive committees.  Finally and most importantly, Duval needs to stay out of Clay affairs.
