Hurricane Guidlines for Clay County Employee's

As we watch the progress of the storm, the following are the Clay County guidelines based upon the hurricane's intensity:

Hurricane Category #1 –
No excuse for being late.  Leave earlier to give extra time to avoid fallen trees and limbs.

Hurricane Category #2 –
Due to the horizontal rain, you may wear jeans.

Hurricane Category #3 –
Whereas most of the Clay County area will be flooded we suggest you avoid wearing open toe sandals when coming to work. Canoes will be provided to those that park in Garage so as to get to the building safely without getting wet.

Hurricane Category #4 –
More than likely there will be no electricity. Given that, we will have manual typewriters available to all staff members. Ladies, please take extra caution and wear water-proof make-up if Category 4 or above.

Hurricane Category #5 –
Velcro will be provided to keep you attached to your chairs when the windows blow out. For those that survive, we will have chocolate cake from Publix at 3:00 pm in the kitchen.

Funny.  I especially like Category 5.  I don't know who wrote yours, but I wrote my version:

As we watch the progress of the storm, the following are the MyClaySun Member Guidelines based upon the hurricane's intensity:

Hurricane Category #1 –
No excuse for not making at least one blog entry, even if it’s just to say HELP.

Hurricane Category #2 –
Due to TruthHurts and Spot being on duty at Animal Control, they will be excused from posting opposing views on myclaysun.

Hurricane Category #3 –
Whereas most of the Clay County area will be flooded we suggest you avoid placing political signs in the right-of-way.  County employees will not be at work to remove the ones blocking the emergency vehicle’s view of the road.

Hurricane Category #4 –
More than likely there will be no electricity so Jonathan Bennett will hand deliver all of the day’s blogs.

Hurricane Category #5 –
Velcro will be provided to keep you attached to the top of your car while you are stuck in traffic. For those that survive, we will have Cinnabons at the Orange Park Mall at 3:00 pm.  You will have time to eat and enjoy a movie as your car remains in the same place on Blanding.

For those out ripping up the competitions signs please take them to the nearest recycling bin, I can still read them when they're laying on the ground, in fact I pay more attention to those that are on the ground or vandalized because that makes them special
