JD I will try to arrange my schedule to come to the debate this evening.  I have some pointed questions for the candidates.  I have already asked you about your positions on what I believe are the issues.

Your answers to my questions were encouraging as a result I am leaning toward voting for you.  I will not vote for the incumbant due to his involvement with special interests and lobbyists.  Remember smaller government is more efficient government and those issues we may differ on should be resolved for the benefit of the taxpayer.

I hope to be able to question the other two candidates.especially about relations and promises made to any of the special interests and lobbyists who appear to be backing them.  I encourage as many people as possible attend and witness the differences between the candidates.

I would encourage everyone interested in the local political scene to attend.  You may not live in D5 but you are effected by the decisions that position makes.  You also may know someone, or know someone who knows someone who lives in D5.

JD, Angela said on another thread that you support a Regional Transportation Authority, is that true?  I disagree with it on the general principle that goverment is big enough.  I also disagree with it from the point that with the current economy goverment needs to tighten it's belt.  There is no way to know how bad it will get or how slowly it will heal.

I also hope to hear something more out of you tonight with regards to the peoples right to petition their goverment.  This lawsuit costs the people money and Roy Lyons is directly connected to one of your opponents.  If this is truly going to be a real debate then I think something as broad reaching as the citizens right to participate in their goverment would be something you stand up for other then just in the blogs.

I want a Commissioner that is going to be a Champion to the people, not a weapon against them for the benefit of special interests.
