Words of Encouragement

I would like to provide a thread for anyone who wishes to send a word of encouragement to the victims of the Folio article, "Why Bother".

I am aware that the parents of these girls check these blogs for any encouragement that they can pass along to their daughters.

With the start of school right around the corner, I think it would be great if they could read the support from others, that they so much need right now.

If you would feel better writing a private note to them, you can do so via email at whybother4@gmail.com.

I'll start with a quote from Marianne Williamson, that hopefully will remind the girls of who they truly are:

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our Light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves--Who am I to be- brilliant, gorgeous, talented, strong?

Actually, who are we not to be?

You are a child of God.  Your playing small does not serve the world.

There is NOTHING enlightened about shrinking so that other people do not feel insecure around you.  We were born to manifest the Glory of God that is within us.  It is not just in some of us, it is in everyone.

And as we let our light shine, we inconsciously give other people permission to do the same.  As we are liberated from our own fears our presence automatically liberates others".
