those two were the only ones in the race I'd have to vote for Newman. Only because he seems more sincere, I get the feeling you can trust the man and he has more management experience than Taylor. My vote is still with Beseler.

Newman would clearly be my second choice.  Beseler first right now.

Mike Talyor all the way.  Come on, get realistic, Newman has no chance.  Go with Taylor and get Beseler out.....that simple.  This is probably one of the most clear cut elections, Taylor wins this hands down.

I was very impressed with all of his comments, but the closing comment was my favorite.

Leadership is most needed.  Like he said, he doesn't have to be the one meeting people(woops, wrong candidate)...I mean chasing people through the alley's. 

Maybe you should stick around for the whole conversation, not just a few parts and pick on them. You really just don't get it, do you? 

Guess that comment looks out of sorts.  The comment was to Jackai about his comments on Heemer and blocks.  You've got to stick around and read all the blogs to "get" the conversation, you can't just jump in and read one and think you know what you are talking about.  Heemer is sharp, and after last night proving he could possibly replace Jay Leno.  It is called adult humor that maybe you don't understand. 

Hopefully my comment wasn't misinterpreted.  It was a slam on the candidates other than Newman.

The translation spelled out regarding chasing people through alley's was sincere.  The play on words suggesting that the other two candidates(TAYLOR....Besler....) would rather meet people in alleys than chase them through alleys.......does that make more sense???

And yes, I read and respected everything that Newman said, which is why the title of my blog was meant in support.

Sorry you misunderstood.  And by the way, I watched both the live blogs, with both the candidates....all the way through......

I saw the forum in Clay Hill last Monday night. I see you think Taylor will win hands down. You might want to fill him in on that. Judging by his demeanor he may have doubts himself.

Maybe Taylor looked less than confident at the forum because he fears the Smunsey Effect.  His similar praise and prediction of victory for Fred Thompson was almost immediately followed by Thompson's crushing primary defeat.

Greetings all, 

Just a quick note.  For the record, Im a Beasler supporter, but I had to tell this story.  I was at a local restaurant about a week ago and noticed that an overlly sized gentleman had to many adult beverages.  The wait staff tried to cut the man off and tried to have him pay his tab and leave.  The man became very aggressive toward the staff and looked as though the situation might escalate.   I stood up to support the staff in case the situation went from bad to worse.  As the moment reached a boiling point, another patron stood up and took control.  He politly asked the gentleman to leave, but to no prevail.  He then asked again nicely, but the gentleman refused.  At this point, the gentleman acted as if he might take a swing at the fellow patron.  The Patron told the man that he didn't want to do that, and politly asked the gentleman to pay and leave.  The situation was resolved peacfully, thankfully.  I must give credit where credit is due.  The patron who handled this disgruntled customer was Mike Taylor.  He was professional, polite and made a stand when others just watched.  Im not saying go out and vote for Mike Taylor, but I will say he showed more class and professionalism then most.

It was refreshing to get a look at a canidate in a real life situation.  I did know this was Mike Taylor until after the confrontation was resolved.  He showed more class and professionalism in 5 minutes then I've ever seen from any Sheriff in Clay County in over 20 years (except for Dalton Bray).  Just thought I'd share.
