CTLAC Needs Your Help - and SOON!!It seems the Citizens for Term Limits & Accountability Committee’s (CTLAC) need for counsel – and soon – in order to protect our First Amendment rights has taken a back seat to other blogs. So, I’m bringing it to the forefront since only 7 days are remaining until the CTLAC must defend the right in court to have these amendments on November’s ballot for voters to choose Yes or No!. While all the other blog topics certainly have merit and need to be addressed, the deadline for helping the CTLAC is near. The BCC and the Supervisor of Elections can be represented in court with our tax dollars, but the CTLAC must pay from their own pockets for an attorney to represent them in court. Please help with that effort!! Mr. Lyons, the claimant, feels the amendments are not clear and is questioning the integrity of the SOE office and the BCC for approving the signatures of the voters and placing the amendments on the ballot. Personally, I believe he is thinking we’re all too stupid to decide whether to vote YES or NO on these clearly worded amendments. Whether you are for or against these initiatives, NO citizen should willingly give up their right to vote and leave it to the courts to decide. This could set a dangerous precedent not only in Clay County, but in Florida and the rest of the Country. Please log on to www.CTLAC.com for information on how to help. This is crucial folks – time is running out and the CTLAC needs your assistance with ensuring our right to vote on these amendments in November. Thanks, Judy B.
