I hope there are no children close to this place! Sex offenders are monitored by their probation officers, if on probation. Sex offenders are required to register with the State of Florida and keep their addresses updated in the system.

 In  reading the link from Arnie, this residence appears to be a single wide mobile home of 924 square feet.  How on earth can NINE adults live there.  The deeded owner has a homestead exemption and is on the sexual offenders list. 

I would hope that the parole officers for these nine offenders are actually checking in on them--I find it hard to believe they are all there.  Is the owner just providing them an address? It makes my skin crawl to think about it.

Who is in charge of making sure the offenders are living where they say theyare living?  The CCSO?, The state? The courts?

Years ago while researching a story on the sexual abuse of children in Clay County, I interviewed a phsychiatrist who specialized in the field.  One thing she said way back then is still pertinent today.

Sexual offenders are like alcoholics.  They are never cured. The very best you can hope for is that they learn to control it, one day at a time.

While I believe second chances should be offered to those who've earned it, I also believe parents around Mallow Court should be aware of the shockingly large population of offenders near their homes and immediately take extra security precautions concerning their children.  Consulting the Sheriff's Office for advice would be a good idea.

clayvoter..........I believe there is a Sex Offender's Unit, CCSO, that keeps track of sex offenders ...... Melissa Danderfield was the contact person.  I remember this from when Mark Lunsford appeared in Green Cove Springs a couple of years back promoting "Jessica's Law."  Of course things could have changed since then, but it's a starting place.

Mr. Lunsford was a very nice guy and this was a sad situation. We now have the Jessica Lunsford Act because of his advocacy work. The agencies work together and independently.

I can't help but think that there should be a rule or law regarding this.

Are these 9 sex offenders sitting around sharing stories of the lives they have ruined in an effort to help each other with this sickness.

Or sharing stories of their conquests, and sharing dirty perverted trade secrets feeding off of each other.

This just disgusts me on so many levels. This is a very dangerous situation for the folks in that area.

This almost sounds like a scam.  Are these men transients that have a found a comrad or are these men locals that don't want their real neighbors to know that they are Sex Offenders.  Does anyone really believe that 9 adult males are living together in a 900 square foot single wide?  The ceilings aren't high enough for bunk beds!  I mean it must be wall to wall beds inside of this place.

Almost everyday I meet people that have no idea what their next door neighbors full name is...How better to hide your identity than to give a false address.

Not All Are Perverts

Let me say right off that I think sexual predators, and offenders are despicable, or for that mater anyone who hurts a child in any way. The way I see it is you have two types, you have your perverts; ( no explanation needed there) and then you have the ones caught up laws that deal with the age difference. I will give an explanation on this one, through experience, all though not my own.

I have a friend that was caught up in the system on age difference. Here is his story, Chris was 18 @ the time, he met a girl at school, and they become good friends that turned into a relationship. The girls mother was well aware of the relationship, and their sexual activity.

It wasn’t long and Chris moved in with this girl with the mother’s approval. Things went well for a while, and then the rocky road of this relationship broke them up. I don’t know the exact details, but that is not important. What happened next is. The mother, after Chris moved out filed charges against him for statutory rape. This man was convicted, and is now considered a sex offender. For the rest of his life he will have to register as one. His only crime was he fell in love with a young lady, with a vindictive mother.

It is very hard for Chris to find a place to live, no apartment complex will rent to him, and most landlords won’t, he has moved into a house, that when the landlord found out about his name being on the offenders list was ask to move out. There are times when Chris has no place to go, so he wonders the streets, and sleeps where he can. This is a good young man who’s life was ruined by falling in love with a girl that less than 1 ½ years his junior.    The moral to the story; all listed sex offenders are not perverts.  

In my opinion the perverts should not be on the streets anyway. They should be locked up for life. Oh! We can’t do that because of prison overcrowding. I say Bull Hockey. This country waste it prison beds, 500, 000 of them in non violent drug offenders, and we let the perverts roam free to hurt our children. We , this country spends Seven hundred Billion dollars a year on the war on drugs with nothing to show for it, other than a huge budget that could be put to better use. Here a novel idea; take part of that Seven Billon and treat the drug offenders for their addiction, and lock up the sexual offenders and predators.

You all are worried about those nine offenders living under one roof, let me ask this question. Would it be easier to keep track of them in one place, or in nine different locations?  Here is the problem every one wants them to register their address, but no one wants them living next to them. So! My question would be where should they live? NO matter what your opinion is about them they are still human, and citizens of this country who are protected by our constitution. Where should they go, where should they be placed? Too some remote deserted Island some where? I say free up the wasted prison beds and let the perverted ones wrought in there cells. But that would be considered cruel and unusual punishment. Lets not forget they do have rights.

I agree with you, not all are perverts, some are victims themselves.  But non the less they certainly must know the risk.  I know of saying that would fit this but I cannot print it here, it kinda goes like this; what you get for what you got.   

Knowing that this label is a "life sentence" should prompt them to have the record absconded (as one on the list did).  Instead they choose to hide their true identity from their neighbors.  Yes they would still be listed as a Sex Offender but at least the leasing agent or next door neighbor with 2 teenaged girls (or boys) could fill in the blanks.

I looked at the list and photos again and of the 9 listed 6 appear to be 20 years old or less.  1 may be in his 30's and 2 are definitely over 40. 

Even if the younger men were victims, they are living with 3 older, wiser, men.  Look at the photos again, would you have that warm fuzzy feeling if you met any of the older men or would you run away screaming?

If any of these younger men are actually residing at the address it makes me think that they are "predators in training" being coached by their elders.

I cannot believe that anyone can find nothing wrong with 9 adult (unrelated) men living in one 900 square foot single wide mobile home.

I have a tiny bit of info that someone is going to be looking into this situation.  Not sure who called but Code Enforcement has got their eyes on this particular residence. Ten people, yes, 10 in a 900 ft sq residence.  There's one sex offender that lives around the corner from me, no one told me about him, I had to look it up on the internet to find out.  Doesn't really bother me as long as he stays over there and doesn't do anything strange.
