The Envelope & The BoxPushing the envelope & thinking outside the box. Above all, thinking. When thinking animal control, why not think people control? After all, who should be controling the animals? When thinking voting, others ask why, I ask, why not? Why not think of an independent? In a predomintely Republican area, why not think of a Democrat? In a predominately Christian area, why not think of an agnostic or atheist? (Careful how you answer. These are trick questions) When talking of liberal or conservative, why not ask yourself to think first & ask if what was said is correct rather than thinking of political affiliation? When talking to, listening to or writing about something or someone, why not think of actually listening? Why not think of asking the source? Why not think of providing the source? Why not think of asking questions first, rather than spouting out the first thing that enters your mind or making a staement that is not well thought out? Why not think of using minimal standards of grammar, spelling, etc? Why not think that this is the way you are going to present yourself to others? Why not think to yourself, is this the way I want to make my point? Is this the way I want to represent myself? Will this be my business card to others? Why not think to yourself, will this make my point any more valid? Will I sway the opinion of the other person? Why not think to yourself that maybe, just maybe, the other person might know more about this than I do? Why not automatically respect their right to their opinion? Why not think? There seems to be so little of it these days. Why not be a trend setter? JATFUR. Rich K

Read, Yes, but on & off as circumstances dictate. Rich K Submitted by SoloVoce on Tue, 07/22/2008 - 1:57pm.
Read, You're right on both counts. No excuse, but I have a nephew with the same name & it's spelled Jonathon. But I thank you. One of the worst things a person can do is disrespect by not paying attention to the name of another. Add to that, I'm really bad with names. Thanks for the heads up. I'll do better. I think that might be only my second emoticon. I normally don't use them. But I fugured, why not? JATFUR. Rich K Submitted by read44 on Tue, 07/22/2008 - 2:13pm.
Hey, think of it this way, there is no spelling or grammar involved.

Read, I'm not really comfortable with that. Considering my background, I just have too much respect for communication, the written word (in all of its implications) & the art & science of conversation. But that's just moi. JATFUR. Rich K Submitted by read44 on Wed, 07/23/2008 - 6:31am.
I understand. Yesterday while we we "talking" a blog was removed. It was in bold type and Jonathan was online. By the time I finished typing to you and came back to read it, it was gone. Did you see what it was all about? Submitted by SoloVoce on Wed, 07/23/2008 - 7:04am.
Read, Sorry, I didn't notice any blogs were gone. I was on & off the blog site & not paying much attention to that. Although I must admit that there are a few blogs I wouldn't mind see dissapearing. I guess I'll dream on. As far as your second suggestion of consequences, I wish I thought of that. JATFUR. Rich K Submitted by read44 on Wed, 07/23/2008 - 7:25am.
Can I add to your list? Why not think of the consequences of your actions before you act? People are talking about ...Here are the recent blog postings with the most comments. |
