One VictoryYea, one victory for former county commission Christy Fitzgerald. The judge ruled today granting a change of venue to St. Johns County. The judge also expressed concern over the SAO/CCSO loosing documents (2 documents from 2 different files). Documents that are very important in this case. I bet if the documents HELPED the State's case, then they would not have been LOST??????? I am looking forward to writing more blogs when Ms. Fitzgerald is acquitted and is reinstated and provided back pay. Then all of these bloggers who are encouraging people to submit names for consideration for her seat can rest. It is a great day!!!!!!!! Sad part about this entire mess with Fitzgerald is that none of the charges have to do with "county workers boarding up her house before a hurricane." The lone felony charge against her is this, Arthur Ivey and another individual were reportedly discussing stealing plugs from a job site in Fleming Island...Fitzgerald reportedly knew about the plan and did nothing to attempt to stop it or report it....two individuals report that the plugs were not stolen, nor missing....this results in a felony charge against Fitzgerald???? Give me a break. Two statements from individuals reporting the plugs were not stolen nor missing....TWO statements from TWO different files...are missing. Talk about selective prosecution. THAT IS THE ONLY FELONY CHARGE and there are two documents missing. Talk about a witch hunt, waste of tax payers money....I could go on. The best part about all of this is the State Attorney stated in the print media that he was only trying the felony case and if he convicts her he would not waste tax payers dollars on the misdemeanor charges. He should have said, I AM NOT GOING TO PUT ALL MY EGGS IN ONE BASKET, IF I LOOSE THE FELONY CHARGE I CAN FALL BACK AT GET HER ON THE MISDEMEANOR CHARGES. This is our tax dollars at work. I have complained about the good ol'boy network in Clay County on these blogs and have been accused of making this a sexist issue, and that if this was Mister Fitzgerald it would still have happened. Maybe I need to change my statement to the good ol' boy and good ol' girl netowrk in Clay County....and if you do not go along with the good ol' boys and good ol' girls you had better watch out because you might face criminal charges against you and statements that exonerate you will disappear. As far the law enforcement, I encourage you to visit the discussion boards at www.claysheerif.com (spelling is correct) and you can see what others are saying about law enforcement in Clay County.

Nobody accused you of being sexist - this is directly from your initial post: The “Good Ol’ Boy” network in Clay County is still alive and roaring its ugly head, especially against intelligent, assertive females. Can you find any other intelligent, assertive females within the Clay County government (other than Supervisor of Elections and the School Board)….no I do not believe you can. Your argument was based on sex, where I come from, that is sexist. Regarding a victory, Her Highness - if not a member of the good ol' boys club -was trying to create her own club and got caught. At a minimum, she was way out of her league trying to be a professional commissioner in one of the fastest growing counties in the South. She was more interested in getting her "good friend" Mr. Ivey promoted without qualifications, using county employees as personal assistants, and attending tennis matches than seeing to the future of a county. Guilty or Not Guilty, Right or Wrong - her political career is finished in Clay County and that is clearly good for the county's future. Maybe she can find another rural county to ruin.

Before you reiterate false publicized accusations, maybe you should look at the minutes from where Ivey was promoted. Get the verbatim, Fitzgerald voted for the motion, but did not even comment on the issue. Three other commissioners were very verbose. Ah, but that would be too difficult, to print what really happened! Submitted by opflsw on Fri, 03/16/2007 - 8:26pm.
Thank you "justiceprevails"!!!!! Hopefully your username will be true in this case. Submitted by ClayCountyCurmudgeon on Wed, 03/21/2007 - 12:22pm.
If my "accusations" (I like to think of them as facts) are false as you claim, then why did you affirm? Yes, you are correct - SHE DID vote for her country bumpkin to be promoted! That is what I call support. The fact she was not verbose (which I admit would be a first - she probably strained her voice from those thousands of cell phone calls to him we paid for) does not mean she did not support him, SHE VOTED FOR HIM TO GET THE JOB! Thank you for checking the minutes to confirm. As far as checking verbatim, check the records yourself. Where do you want to start? Facilities department work records, phone records, Grand Jury investigation, internal investigation, facilities employees?? Take your pick. In the end you will probably be happy, I truly doubt she will be convicted of anything except for a personal conviction of making very stupid choices that ruined much more than the county's reputation. Matter of fact, in the end I think we will both be happy, because I am confident she will not be holding any office in this county. Submitted by JaxLawOne on Wed, 03/21/2007 - 2:36pm.
According to the police booking report Christy Fritz has a tattoo on her big fat ass (I refer to the pic in the paper of her and Ivey in jeans). Does Ivey have one to match....even though his fat ass seems to be about four times bigger. Is that what they discussed on Clay County cell phones all during the night and early morning hours. The thought of those two having phone sex is more than I can handle....what angers the tax payers is we were paying for it! Submitted by justiceprevails on Wed, 03/21/2007 - 8:55pm.
Wow, what intelligent conversation. Let's see, how many times did Bush, McGovern, Lassiter, Lancaster vote for something, note the vote was 4-1 for Ivey, but it is not an issue. Obviously you cannot even take the time to check the minutes. It is nice that you are so lazy, stupid and inept, that you cannot even take the time to check minutes, both board and committee minutes to see who really endorsed Ivey. Most bumpkins are smarter than the average ego islanders on any given day, they have to be, no silver spoons to suck on. I think you should change your name to dirty little blond. Wow, you want to see her tat, kind of perverted aren't you. Isn't it amazing that any other person booked at clay county gets to sign a form stating that they do not want personal info released, but hollywood rick calls down from his ivory tower and does not allow fitzgerald to sign that form. guess that is what i call the ultimate good ole' boy call. By the way, what is the size of your ass???? Obviously extra large since you have nothing intelligent to say.

By the way, since your two are such protectors of the populace, why does Fitzgerald have to file to get Bush's outgoing e-mails, which are public record. Use your super inflated intelligence, check the web page and tell all of the peons out there why bush is the only commissioner without outgoing email on the web page. It is not that he never uses it, because they show up on other public email records Submitted by opflsw on Wed, 03/21/2007 - 9:14pm.
Wow, JusticePrevails, you are my hero. I think if we check the statutes in Clay County, we might find that a person in an elected position, if they are a female, ARE NOT allowed to have tattoo. Too bad we do not revert back to the old law where adulterers are branded with an A, we would have a lot men in elected positions and attempting to seek an elected position branded with the letter I, for IDIOT. But then most of them have such small heads, I dont think the entire word IDIOT would fit across their forehead. Crumudgeon....I quote.... "I truly doubt she will be convicted of anything except for a personal conviction of making very stupid choices that ruined much more than the county's reputation. Matter of fact, in the end I think we will both be happy, because I am confident she will not be holding any office in this county." He realizes that she will not be convicted of any crimes because she did not commit any crimes.....as far as the county's reputation...lancaster, bush, and many more have already ruined it.....it can't get any worse. Unfortunately, WHEN Christy is acquitted, she automatically gets her seat back...so so sorry to burst your bubble Crumudgeon. I need to go pick up a stack of FI Messenger papers, we are going fishing this weekend and need something to wrap the fish up in...so Crumudgeon get busy and write a couple of articles. JaxLawOne...if this is not the dirty little blonde it is scary because their intelligence and writing abilities are identical.

than talk about her "tat!" Premiering on YouTube soon! Ms. Wilson....I am male, 43 years old, grey hair, 185 pounds.... You must have been part of Christy & Artie's kinky sex triangle we have heard about? Did you have charge privileges on the former Sheriff's credit card at the sex shops? Submitted by JaxLawOne on Wed, 03/21/2007 - 9:27pm.
we can do to get Ms. Wilson's panties tied up in more of a wad! But enough fun for one night...... Submitted by JaxLawOne on Wed, 03/21/2007 - 11:04pm.
You are correct sir! I do not fit in with the good old boys in Clay County....I do not have a "3" or NASCAR sticker on my truck, not even a truck, no washer/dryer connections on my front porch or the most prized possession of Clay's newly rich..."a Middleburg water fountain"...known in other parts of the world as a bidet...I do not have a well or septic mound in my front yard either...what I do have is a Law Degree from Harvard that I paid for myself and a nice home and family in Mandarin...I am a registered Republican and my interest in Clay County is for amusement purposes only...when we moved back home to Jacksonville and read about the Clay County political antics.....it looked like the 1950's again....Clay County...the laughing stock of the New South!

Well - I can see a law degree from Harvard does not guarantee a tactful tongue. Who killed civility and rational, logical positions? Jerry Springer? FOX News? Sir - I have a septic tank (back, not front yard), find NASCAR boring, have lived in Middleburg over 20 years, have a nice family, go to church regularly, don't have a law degree (though I do know a couple lawyers, and a judge), think bidets are silly, and would choose Clay County politics and government any day over the circus that is the Jacksonville City Council. But most of all, I don't need to look down my nose on ANY one to feel better about who I am or where I live. If a superior attitude is what comes with a Harvard Law degree - congrats, you win. Lighten up, dude. Submitted by ClayCountyCurmudgeon on Thu, 03/22/2007 - 7:41am.
Thanks JaxLawOne for helping us out over here. Mandarin is our destination when we are hurting for real cultural enhancement, the Comedy Club is my favorite. Thanks for helping us with our legal shortcomings as well. (Oh yea, you also gave us Harmonious Monks, Broadway at its best) Mrs Wilson - As for the FI Messenger - you have the wrong Curmudgeon, you know there are lots of us out here on the Island - Ask your Mandarin friend, he/she seems to be a Clay County expert. I don't realize she won't be convicted of any crimes because she did not commit them, she won't be convicted because she has the $$$$ to prevent it, those are facts. (Unless JaxLawOne wants to assist the citizens of clay county as public assistance.) Can you say O.J.? It is the American way. And if she gets her seat back - great, I will be at the first Commissioner meeting because it will be a live one! Submitted by JaxLawOne on Thu, 03/22/2007 - 1:38pm.
This is so much more fun than chatting about flower shows, pets of the weak (intentional sp), haircuts and other boring things! Seems to be fun to stir things up....Clay County is an excellent place to work and live and most of its residents seem to want to improve its government....however, what will we have to talk about when it is fixed? Flower shows, haircuts and pets of the week again...that would be nice! People are talking about ...Here are the recent blog postings with the most comments. |

Kudos to Ms. Wilson for seeing through all of the good ole boy smoke and mirrors. At least there is a judge that can see through the politics and do the right thing.
How in the world can two documents be lost from one file?? Unbelievable! Has this happened in any other case Beesler has been in control of, I doubt it!
I wonder if the grand jury knew about the lost records, I doubt that also!
