Durbin Crossing Hosts Holiday Showhomes
Event Raises Money for Builder’s Care and Trinity Rescue Mission

 Join Durbin Crossing for the Holiday Showhomes , a presentation of the community’s finest model homes featuring holiday décor from Jacksonville’s hottest interior designers and florists. Bring a toy, non-perishable food item or monetary donation to any of the models participating in the Holiday Showhomes and tour the models at your leisure. All proceeds benefit Builder’s Care and Trinity Rescue Mission.    

Holiday Showhomes is November 29-December 14 at Durbin Crossing located in Northwest St. Johns County. To visit Durbin Crossing, travel south on US-1 (Philips Hwy.). Turn right onto Racetrack Road, turn left on St. Johns Parkway/2209 and then right on Longleaf Pine Parkway/244 to the community entrance. Signs within the community will direct visitors to models.

Bring the family down to Town Center Parkway for FIHS' annual Gold Rush Parade and Pep Rally.

Food, fun and carnival games for everyone. Carnival games will include a dunking booth and a bouncing house.  Bring your mother's famous pie recipe for all to try and maybe win a blue ribbon prize.  Just for coming you can get five free tickets per a family.  Funds support local youth and missions.

Flu vaccines will be given at the Keystone Heights Senior Center on October 22, 2008 from 10 - 2. the vaccines are free to senior citizens with medicare parts A and B.

The Art Guild of Orange Park will host their Fall Juried Exhibit at the Orange Park Library, 2054 Plainfield Avenue, Orange Park,  November 1-25, 2008 with the Opening Reception Nov. 6. The AGOP has grown to over130 artists who represent a great variety of media.

Girl Scout Cadette Troop 492 will be collecting clean, reusable coats and jackets to assist the One Warm Coat community service effort at the Southern Women’s Show at the Prime Osborne in Downtown Jacksonville October 16 – 19, 2008.  Coats of all shapes sizes are welcome with children's sizes being the most needed and receive $1 off regular admission with the donation of a coat.   

One Warm Coat is dedicated to distributing reusable coats, free of charge, directly to local children and adults.  All donated coats will be given to local Jacksonville organizations such as Labor Ready, The Clara White Mission, The Trinity Rescue Mission and I.M.
