Federated Republican Women Club luncheon.

Ladies age 60 and above have the opportunity to showcase their spirit of aging with grace. There are 6 categories: personal interview, opening number, talent, evening wear, question and answer, and the crowning.

The pageant is being held at The Times Union Center of Performing Arts. Families are encouraged to attend, bring supportive signs for their loved one to see from the audience and cheer them on.

“Emmanuel, Celebrating Heaven’s Child” a Christmas cantata will be presented by First Christian Church Orange Park on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 14, 2008 at 10:15 a.m. This event is free and open to the public.  The church is located at 2876 Moody Avenue, Orange Park on the corner of Bolton and Moody.  For more information contact the church office at 272-1250 Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Pinewood Christian Academy will hold its Annual Book Fair from Tuesday, December 9th through Friday, December 12th, 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. daily.  We are located at 198 Knight Boxx Rd, (near CR 220) at Pinewood Presbyterian Church.  Come shop inside our 3,200 SF Grand Hall.  We also will have specialty coffees, cocoa and baked goods available.  For more information, contact Jackie Keener at (904) 644-0534.

The Community Band will play a benefit concert for the Clay County Women for Education, who use all proceeds for scholarships for Clay students. Concert is at Advent Lutheran Church on Loch Rane Blvd. in Orange Park. Light refreshments will be served, many door prizes given out. Donation of $5 requested. More information at 272-0896.

Family Origami Night featuring Modular Origami on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM through December!  Bring the kids and come learn the art of Japanese paperfolding!

Recommended for Ages 10 and up!  Parents or Adult Guardians must be accompanied by a student under the age of 18 in order to participate!
