Incompetency is:

Allowing friends to get two people killed during a SWAT call in Oakleaf;

Allowing babies to be used in the middle of dangerous drug deals;

Allowing the P.A.L. to become almost bankrupt;

Allowing not one but two murder cases to be unprosecuted to wit;

SAO tells investigator not to question suspect as suspect has requested atty. Anybody who has ever seen a police show knows this one. Not the Lt., he contrives a way "around" Miranda. Suspect tricked into confessing, same prosecutor refuses to presecute based on the "Rights Violation". The Sheriff then accuses the SAO of incompetence. SAO fired letter back telling him to back off or all the truth will be told. Sheriff backs off.

Most recently. Original deputy writes report of homicide. Admin. wants a "better" case. Goes out on thier own and drums up another report which by the way looks better for the Sheriff (UCR). Mills does what he is told. Beseler will blame everyone but the person in charge. Original deputy is easy target as he is employed elsewhere now, probably could not wait to leave after being asked to lie.

Can you believe that the Sheriff did not know? He should have known we only have 4-5 homicides a year. Is it too much of a strain to pay attention?

The people he brought with him are too scared not to tell him EVERYTHING. He knew.

Seems the Sheriff may have been "cooking the books" for UCR purposes. At least that is what he said about the last administration when the numbers were called into question. "Cooking the books is breaking the law"

Back to incompetence;

Warning a dope dealing deputy to quit, as this is an election year.

One thing the Sheriff did manage, which is smart, is he got the SAO not get a Grand Jury investigation into this snakepit, because he remembers what happened to the last Sheriff.  He bought himself more time by offering to do an internal (on himself) guess how this will turn out. The SAO is weak. Plotkin should have come into this and shown he means what he says about polititions and corruption. 

Maybe the two screwed up murder cases will spark something.

Remember "loyalty is more important than competence". Think about that when you or a loved one becomes a victim.
