Mary,

Thanks for your post, and all your posts in the past with great community info.  I told myself to ignore my thoughts when I read your title, but just couldn't.

I don't know if you intended to, or were just choosing a word, but "disaster" to describe the tragic attacks of 9/11 just does not seem appopriate.  I visited Jennifer Sands' web site, and this her first sentnce,

My husband, Jim Sands, was killed in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

Sorry, just had to throw my comments in, I've been a real trouble maker recently.  Blame it on the heat or something.

Again, thanks for all your great posts!  And by the way, all that talk about Avatars and pictures - you get the "friendliest" award for your picture.  Jonathon's looks like he just got in trouble.

CCC;

I agree. Not a slam against Mary, I too enjoy her posts. It's just that to me when we call 9-11 a disaster it detracts from those who suffered the most.

To me a tornado or an earthquake is a disaster. 9-11 was an attack on our sovereign nation by terrorists trained and supported by enemies of this country and should be called that.

Sorry Mary. Don't take this as a personal insult. I know that more and more of the media are going with 'disaster' but I just don't agree with them. Just my oppinion.

Mary

Great story, thank you, I beleive there are thousands more out there.

I also must agree with CCC and finder this was a brutal, hostile "attack" against America by fanatical Islamic fundementalist "terrorists"

As a side note the US governemnt did not blow up the World Trade Center like some have claimed in the past.
