Yes, that was said in my best best Jamaican accent.  You'll just have to take my word on it.

I know that I've touched upon this subject last year & others have commented on it before, but recent events have confirmed my claims. With these blogs, we do have a treasure in our midst.  Why, you ask?  Let Uncle Rich splain it to you.

As I have mentioned, my to favorite topics are politics & religion.  As I have also mentioned, I've tapped into other blogs on these subjects.  To give you an example, I've tapped into the NY Times, Washington Post & a few other little known blog sites.  I've tried to listen to Rush a bit more & if I had a late softball game, I caught some guy on the radio from San Francisco by the name of Savage, if that is the correct spelling. 

Now I have to admit that I rarely found what would be called, "liberal," broadcasts, but the overwhelming radio broadcasts were conservative in nature to say the least.  Not surprising at all.  According to media statistics, the majority of print & radio talk is conservative.  Also, no surprise, as I've mentioned, when I'm in the truck or at the keys, as now, I listen to National Public Radio.  I do it for a very good reason.  Here comes the splainin'.

Regardless of the topic, on the radio, in the newspaper blogs, the lesser known blog sites, it is mostly "The other side is evil.  The other side is always wrong.  Our side is always right."  I make no apologies when I say that that is no way to communicate.  Period.  If for no other reason, the law of statistics & the law of averages don't support it, plain & simple.

 On the other hand, as I like to say, while listening to NPR, I liken it to reading our blogs.  A variety of subjects, local politics, religion, animal control, school systems & today, even touching on a genealogical search.  Shoot, where else can you go to get a discussion on avatars, hmmmm?  No pontificating, at least compared to what I've heard & read on the radio & other blogs. No yelling.  There's no yelling in the blogohood.  And I know that some have compained @ hearing the same old subjects.  But one has to realise that this is a community/county blog.  Of course the same subjects will come up repeatedly.  That's part of the mission statement.  But where else can you go to get information, IN DETAIL, complete with research, facts & figures, that concerns all of us on a local level?  No place I know.

So OK.  I've given my PSA & sucked up to MCS, Lamar, Jonathon & all the others responsible for allowing us to stand up like "RAT", point our fingers & give our opinions.  Just thought you should know. I now give control back to the participants.  But please, always remember & don't ever forget.  Resistance is futile.  JATFUR.
