CCC, Smuncey,

I came across this little item in the news this morning & almost spewed coffee all over the computer screen keyboard & myself.

Found it on the news site, Common dreams, taken from Ted Rall, dated 04.30.08.  FYI, I don't know who Ted Rall is. It starts off pleasantly enough with the headline:  ARREST BUSH!  Obviously, that got my attention.  It seems that this guy, Rall, is calling for the arrest, trial & conviction of not only Bush, but Cheney, Rumsfesld, Powell, Rice, Tenet, & Ashcroft.  Why, oh why, do you ask?  Since all of these people were present in the White House when all the torture was being planned & approved, & since Bush publically confessed to ordering the torture, & since the US is is a core signatory of the UN Convention Against Torture Act, they all broke the law.  Call the DC cops, read them their rights, book 'em Danno & haul them all off to the hoosegow.

Now, being the realist that I am, I realise that this will not come to pass.  Yet, you'll have to admit that it's still nice to dream about.  It's nice to dream that there may actually be some justice left in this country.

But just think if this actually came to pass.  If justice were to actually be allowed to take its' course, we could then, finally, accurately, put out the banner that would proudly proclame:  MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!  I guess I'll just have to keep waiting & dreaming for justice.  In the mean time, GO CUBBIES!  JATFUR.
