I don't know if this has been addessed before or not, but i'll take a hack at it.
This is quite a group of people we have in this blogosphere. People to communicate with, people who i don't even know personally, but have developed a relationship with through the blogs. It realy is a joy for me to discuss different topics in an open forum with general intellectuals. After the day is done and i've had my fun, it's nice to come home flip on the tube, crack open a cold............coke and talk with some of you. Don't get me wrong i have been blessed with many friends, but living alone has a disadvantage when you come home, there is nobody to talk to, so the blog work out well.
It reminds me a family meal at thanksgiving or CHRISTmas. There are always people in the family who like to talk alot like many of us here. You have the elders of the family, people who have been through the rough stuff and know a thing or two about life, generally old people who if you'll listen have very wise things to say, people like finder! Then you have the second generation, which in my family would be my grandparents (sorry finder), people who have still seen most of their life pass by and have wisdom to share. Then you have the third generation, my parents, people who still like to goof off at the table, but get mad at their children when they do it, this might be most of us here on the blogs. Then you have me, the fourth generation, young adults or kids as i'm still called who say some of the dumbest crap known to man, but still think and know in their hearts that they are right. Every now and then they give a spark of inlightenment (that's spelled wrong). And for many families the same generation that produced me have children who are younger, the screaming children.
Does that sum us up somewhat?
In all seriousness, i enjoy the blogs immensely and am quite happy this blogoshere exists, what say you?
Foxx,
It is nice to have the blogs as an added outlet or just simply as a sounding board sometimes. As I have said before, it is like reading a book with never-ending chapters and come to think of it, never-ending characters.
You said you are young, but young or old we can all learn from each other. You mentioned the generational perspectives, one of the most important lessons to learn is that we can learn from the mistakes of others, we don’t have to make them all first-hand to become enlightened. Watching and listening (or reading) will teach us far more than talking or typing, as the case may be.
So, Grasshopper, continue to join in, speak up, listen up, read on and type on.
