Special event on January 20th!

Join the MCS blogging world in advance planning for an event to soften the blow sure to be felt by one of our favorites, SoloVoice (or better known as Inmabil or I Never Met A Bush I Liked) on January 20, 2009.  It is on this day that he will suffer the excruciating pain, nausea, intestinal distress, and otherwise despair when he will no longer have W to research, dig, and otherwise dump dirt on regarding what color underwear he chooses for a state dinner or to blame for the gas prices in Opp, Alabama.

The event will feature piñatas in the form of the Decider, Darth Vader, and any other nickname, monicker, or label used in the last 8 years to denote the Republican, Conservative majority, Right wing, Christian coalition, Conservative Conspiracy, terrorist torturing, wiretapping, dove hunting, dog kicking leadership.  Special piñatas will be full of baby bonds, free college tuition for everybody, and all expense paid medical bills courtesy of MoveOn.org and Barbara Streisand (why didn’t she move out of the country like she promised?).  Door prizes will include fluourescent light bulbs signed by Al Gore.

Guests of honor will be President Obama and Vice President(s) Clinton, yes both the Vice Presidents will be in attendance.  Be a part of history in seeing first hand the first ever officially sanctioned job sharing of the Vice Presidential office being shared the very two who just 8 short years ago shared the Presidential office!  Entertainment will be provided by Michael Moore and Rosie O’Donnel, the master of ceremonies will be Alec Baldwin. (note to planners, he will need help finding the microphone), and the blessing will be provided by the Reverend Jeremiah Wright (note to planners - hide the microphone for this guy).

All this to honor our very own Uncle Rich and SoloVoice – who said the right side of the aisle was not compassionate?  It is the least we could do in his time of pain and suffering.

Reserve your tickets now!  Lower your carbon footprint by 20% between now and the date of this event and receive a special discount!

CCC,

Between innings of the CUBS game, I was catching parts of Cool Hand Luke.  And reading this blog,  you reminded me of Paul Newman.  Yes you did.  Paul said to Strother Matrtin something like, "Cap'n, why are you so good to me?"  I am flabergasted.  I am beside myself.  I feel honored & I owe it all to you, you silver tongued rapscallion.

Actually, you are right.  Partially so, anyhow.  I am still not enamored of any candidate.  Perhaps it is because of all the childish trashtalk that has been going on.  You only have my word on it, but I am still undecided.  Some have some good points, but all have such bad points.  I think one of the other bloggers said it best when they mentioned that it is a disease of politics, or something to that effect.

As to W, the Decider, as I stated in one of my recent replies, to Marsha, I think, even after Jan 20, I doubt that we will be allowed to forget what W has done to this country.  Whatever will be said @ him, however, will have to compete with the wrongdoings of the next president & whatever they will have to do to clean up the mess left behind.  Yeah, I know.  Choices, choices.

As to the points you made.  Let me aussuage your concerns & make it perfectly clear that in no way will I lapse in keeping a careful eye & ascerbic tongue on the next possible disaster that takes up residense at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.  Truth be told, if either Hillary or Barak get there, it is my gut feeling that we'll have plenty to talk about.

On the other hand, if McCain gets in, I think it will be more important to see who is his choice for VP.  It's the gut feeling thing again.  I think McCain will be in the mold of  a Bush Lite.  How long he survives is another question.

Funny.  I don't recall ever mentioning the color of the underwear of anybody or blaming Bush for the price of gas.  But what the heck.  I'm feeling expansive today, so go ahead & blame me.

Please!  If you have anything resembling a heart, any compassion, invite almost anyone but Rosie & Jeremiah.  I can't stand either of them.  Have a heart, why don't you already.

I will wholeheartedly agree.  The right side of the aisle, headed by you, is not only compassionate, but humorous also.  CCC, great blog & I thank you for adding to my afternoon.  I just wish you would have posted this yesterday when I was in mucho grande pain because my left sinus was attempting to kill my after reading the tortue memo Bush authorized.  But I'm feeling much better now, thanks to you.  Have a great one man & enjoy the Chamber of Commerce weather.  Don't forget to root for the CUBS.  JATFUR.

PS.  Will Al gore really be there?

Man, sign me up! Can't wait. I'll still be looking forward to Solo's blogs after January 2009 no matter who is the new 'decider'.

If you have an 'in' with Al, tell him he needs to set an 'internet cafe' so those that can't attend can watch live streaming video over his greatest invention.

I must be in my TV memory mode.

I remember years back watching this film called "Death takes a holiday". I forgot the actors name, it's was the guy who played the "Six Million Dollar Man", I think. He played death and for a full day no one died, he of course took a holiday.

I wonder what would happen if come election day "Voters took a Holiday" and not a single person went to the polls.

Oh I came dream can't I. Laughing

CCC,

Upon further contemplation & thinking, yes I know that's dangerous on my part, I've decided to give you a sneak preview of some of my possible blogs post 09.20.09.  What the hey.  Everything else has a preview, why not this?

Let's start, out of honor to you & all of our conservative Republican friends out there, with John McCain.

John McCain.  Is Cindy really his "Darth Vader?"

Is that her REAL body?  (Got to admit, it's darn good)

Will she really cut him off (as if that matters at his age) because he voted against equal pay for women?  Gasp!  Doesn't he realise that this is the 21st century?

Will she actually make him pay for his own beer?

McCain.  Isn't that an Irish, Scots, English name?  Is the rumor true connecting his family to the potato famine & the Irish immigration to America?  Hmmmmm.

What ARE his ties to the Irish mafia?

Does he like to hunt?  Has he ever shot another person in the face?Hmmmmm..........

Obama.  Father, black.  Mother, white.  Grandparents confused.  Children, don't give a damn.  Rest of the country, clueless.  Press coverage on this issue, priceless.

Was his grandmother actually a friend of Carrie Nation?  Did she actually participate in destroying legally open saloons & bars?  Did she actually wear blue jeans?  Hmmmmm.

Was his grandfather a secret supporter of the KKK? Did he actually play for the Negro league?  What were his ties to the tap dancing mafia?

Obama, Cheney, distant relatives.  If Obama wins & becomes president, will he start to sound like James Earl Jones?  Will he wear a cape?  A white helmet or a black helmet?  The possibilities are endless.

Hillary.  Why does she prefer pants over dresses?  Hmmmm.

Is she really a CUBS fan or a Yankees fan?  Hmmmmm.

Does she REALLY have an electronic, remote controlled, testicular restraint on Bill?  Hmmmmmm.

Clinton.  Isn't that an Irish, Scots, English name?  Hmmmm.

Were her ancestors related to the McCains?

Did they like potatoes?  Did they drink?  Exactly what are their ties to the Irish mafia?  Hmmmmmm.

What does she REALLY think about the Bush administration?

If she becomes president, will she require her male subordinates to answer her as, "Your royal worshipfullness," ala Han Solo?

Well CCC, these are just a few of things you & the others might have to look forward to.  I'm sure there will be more.  But as I've said before, you, & some other bloggers spur my imagination & make me think just a little bit harder.  This one's for you.  JATFUR.

Since you mentioned Hillary's retraint on Billy boy, I just remembered a recent article I read.  An interview was done with Monica Lewinsky and she was asked her opinion about the possibility of another Clinton in the White House.  She said that she wasn't sure about the idea because the last Clinton left a bad taste in her mouth.
