Sorry for not talking about politics?  You haven't talked about anything constructive politics included.  Now, granted we could all use a break from political discussions every now and then, but you have composed like four or five blogs on nothing.  All things that could have been figured out in the newspaper or by doing some research online.  I think questions are fine and could even be potential blog topics, but don't be stupid. 

I see Linda5 said she was new 4/14.  She clearly wants to participate in blogging. As you said, we could all use a break from politial discussions and I certainly enjoy reading something else actually anything else.  I surely don't think she deserved being called stupid.

I inturpeted it as a kind of segway to open up another topic, to get folks intrested in a side dialog other then all the political bloviating.

However, if you think Linda5 wasn't an alias or a cohort of someone else that already blogs here for the CPVR you aren't paying attention. And I mean that in the nicest of ways.

Do some detective work. What was the subject of the blogs that got moved off the front page. Who was the other user that was involved in making this happen.

Look at the time stamps and read the response to and about filibusters. It doesn't take a rocket scientist or Sherlock Holmes to figure this one out

New subjects are great but at least make it a little less obvious at to what your real purpose is. I'd be quite surprised if we ever hear from Linda5 again.

Four of these were on the same day.  Now, look we have golfacademy on here, he's great and he dosen't get involved with political discussions.  These are several others who don't get involoved with politics.  That's all fine, as i said breaks are nice, but four blogs about nothing in one day seeming to avoid a political discussion, the main discussion of the day, to remove it from the front.  Come on folks, get over the political correctness as this is clearly stupidity.

Foxx/finder, I can see your point as to what you think she/he was trying to do and maybe that's the case.   I certainly think if that is reason for the post that's a dirty trick.  I still see absolutely no reason to call anyone stupid.  You appear to be a smart articulate person surely you could get your point across without that and it has nothing to do with political correctness.

I went back to look as you requested. I see what you mean, very interesting, and looks bad for a well respected person on the blogs. However we will never know for certain if this is fact. On one hand things are not always what they seem. On the other hand if you were walking through the woods and saw a box turtle on top of a tree stump, it would probably be safe to assume someone placed it there.

If this is what really happened, it is a very dirty trick, and underhanded. I still would not go so far to call the person stupid.

Really, i think calling someones behavior stupid is rather nice compared to what you said to lilyslore, you wouldn't go so far as to call the person stupid, sorry that wasn't written well, i should have said that the blogs composed by linda were stupid, but i wouldn't go so far as to call her sick, delusional and narcissitic and then rec. that she get help.

I take full responsibility for my actions. Please do not malign anyone here on MCS unfairly as a result of my decision to move blogs down the page.

It was my belief that I could curtail the rhetoric coming from Marsha, Judy and Mike Mann on CTLACs behalf if I introduced any number of new blogs and pushed their entries over to the second page where most bloggers won't go. All I wanted to demonstrate to you (MCS bloggers) was that no one was interested in what they were saying. (And I include Mike Heemer because he's also supporting their efforts by posting the link to the petition document).

Their entries were an obvious attempt at swaying public opinion toward their measures.

If you really want good government, you'd post ALL links to ALL petitions so that EVERYTHING made it to ballot not just what CTLAC is proposing. If you don't post all links, then I have to assume you want what CTLAC wants. Give the voters all the choices that are out there.

So i guess i called Karen's blogs and behvior stupid and i guess i was right. 

So then, Karen to pinpoint other's political motives, what was your's in moving the discussion off the main page?  To show that people were not interested? It seems as if you're against the petition, therefore you decided to move the discussion..............thats not trying to sway public opinion at all, that is stupid.  You came up with a separate name to avoid any backlash from dumb blogs like the one's linda aka Karen posted, that is stupid.  You are the reason for some of todays "childish" remarks, that is stupid.  You composed five blogs allowed comments on what two them, allowed yourself to be welcomed as a new blogger taking the stand of no politics, are you happy?  Because i think your entire idea was stupid. 

I still wouldn't call the woman stupid. bad move yes, not nice yes, do I condone what was done no, but I don't think she is stupid.

The woman came clean and I am a firm beleiver in redemption.

The woman came clean and told everyone that they don't have the ability to think for themselves.  They need karen to move the blogs down the page so they don't have to think about the discussion anymore.  Clear political motives on her side of the spectrum and then blasting others for their motives in regards to the petition. 

Stupid political move, hell no, it just depends on what type of person you want to be at the end of the day, i guess she didn't want to be a liar and a hypocrite so she came clean, and the crowd roars in applause. 

No crowd roared and no applause was given, But I do respect the fact she came foward, it was a brave decision. Like I said I am not condoning her actions, but I won't call her stupid for it and I wouldn't send out a lynch mob.

Moving blogs, and the Key vs. Linda discussions has obscured one VERY GOOD idea.

If anyone is really for "choice" why not post links to ALL the petitions?

EVERYONE has the right to put their petition on the ballot and let the the voters have a real choice.

I have made my choice on the 5+2 issue, and I have signed every petition.  I did not sign the first CTLAC petition because I literally felt accosted by the elderly man in the Publix parking lot (now I know that was Mr. Smith) and when I asked questions he got quite defensive.  But I signed it this time, partially to support all the hard work they have done and mostly to allow them to provide a choice for voters.

Let's not let the smoke and mirrors "cloud" the process,  provide links to all the petitions.

Karen,  I quickly came to your defense as Linda5 because I thought you were being ill treated.  I still don't think people should be called stupid but I wish I had kept my mouth shut.

 I read almost everything on here but do not post because I want to make my own decisions and I do not want to get caught up in some of the unpleasant discussions on here.   However, I do not need anyone deciding what I might find interesting and what I choose to read or don't read.  I do think that was a dirty trick.  You have certainly lost my respect. I sure hope that is not the kind of tactic you are using on your subcommittee trying to censor the process.   

Foxx, et.all.  moving on with tail between my legs for sticking up for someone I thought was a lost soul.  Wait, I'd do the same thing again.

Thanks for your honesty. Let me ask a qualifying question. If you consider introducing a number of new blogs "dirty tricks," how do you view introducing new blogs for the purpose of keeping your subject at the top of the page? Wouldn't that also be considered a "dirty trick"?

Marsha, Mike Mann and Judy B did just that which prompted a response.

Are they not the same thing? In my mind, they are. Politics is a full-contact sport. In Clay County, we could call it an "extreme" sport.

Let me ask you a question and I am not taking a side on the question that you all are so spirted about.  When the others you have named did the actions you claimed, was it done under another name?  When you utilized another identity you went to far?

No, because they did not change their name to do so making some of us think that it was just a "want to participate newbie" with a lot of blogs.

At no time since I've written under my real identity have I assumed a fake one. I am not linda5 or anyone else. linda5 is linda5, whoever that is.

They (Marsha, Mike and Judy) demanded that you pay attention to their cause by writing separate blogs on the same subject. Like Uncle Rich says, we each have the ability to scroll past blogs we don't have an interest in but the impact is still there.

Just look at Marsha's recent post. Same thing, different day...
