I like choices in my life – even with essential purchases (food, fuel, shelter, etc.) I can choose where and what to spend my money on. Taxes – not so much. I also like to choose my candidate at the polls, but unless the amendment to remove the two at-large commissioner seats is on the ballot, we have no options and will have a chairperson by default as the candidate is running unopposed.
So, what choices do the voters actually have? If the amendment IS on the ballot, then we’ll have the option to either vote Yes for the only candidate, or YES for the amendment to remove the two at-large commissioner positions.
So first, let's get the petitions signed and validated, and when the amendment is on the ballot we will have a choice in November.
Thanks,
Judy
