The county road impact fee is designed to pay for needed improvements

Hadn't heard about this one.

I guess they have trumped me in whining. All the way to the courts. I don't know why they are whining they get to pass the fees on the consumers. On the other hand I am forced to sit in the traffic along with the other fine citizens in Clay County. We don't get to pass this mess on to anyone else. Smile

I don't think this action surprises anyone. I think we all knew this was next.

Whenever I know I am going to be stuck in traffic I think Starbucks, Breakfest Sandwiches, and Satelite Radio.  Laughing

No! not after the builder turned Senator in Tallahassee just proposed a bill that would allow Developments of Regional Impacts (DRI's) not to be required to pay for road impacts. I wonder if those guys are required to be drug tested.

If I had to think Starbucks and breakfast sandwiches every time I am stuck in traffic in Clay County. It would be costing almost as much as my gas recently.

They must be Republicans because liberals hold rallies and carry signs to protest.Laughing

Let the county keep piling on impact fees until the builders get fed up with it and leave.

How  much more traffic can we handle? The 5lb bag has 10lbs in it already.

If we can't make more roads and another bridge over the St. Johns then we had better start building overhead roadways with limited access.

Those who give up freedom for security have neither.

When all the building is gone, and therefore the impact fee revenue to "fix" the road problem is gone too, who will pay for the problem that still exists?  You (and other taxpayers)?  Cool.

You got that right. We better get all the builders money before they leave.

I still say put the gas road tax money back into the road fund.

I will never vote for another tax because it will not go to the project it was collected for.

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

Whitewolf we have been paying for an infrastructure tax on sales tax. You would think if we paid for a road tax in gas taxes and an infrastructure tax in sales taxes. We would have something to show for that money.
