Whether they’re looking for an internship, a part-time job or a full-time career, Career-Job Expo attendees will have an opportunity on April 15 to hand their resumes to a wide variety of employers from the Northeast Florida region. The Expo will be held at the Thrasher-Horne Conference Center from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., and is sponsored by St. Johns River Community College, Clay County School District, Clay County Chamber of Commerce Business and Education Partnership Committee and WorkSource. The event is free and open to the public.

More than 50 employers are expected to represent fields such as business management, health care, marketing, retail, sales, social services, teaching, hospitality, customer service, construction and design, communications, manufacturing, banking, child care, military, law enforcement and more.  Resumes and applications will be accepted at the Expo, so participants should bring multiple resume copies. Job seekers should dress professionally and be prepared to articulate their career goals and their strengths.

In addition, colleges and universities will be in attendance to share baccalaureate opportunities for those students who wish to transfer from SJRCC.

The Expo will be located at the THCC on SJRCC’s Orange Park Campus, 283 College Drive. The Thrasher-Horne Conference Center is owned and operated by SJRCC. For more information on the Career-Job Expo, call Melissa O’Connell at (386) 312-4232.
