When I heard the news of the three teenagers killed in a car accident that went to Nassau High School last night the first thing I did was say a prayer for those families and then I went to hug my own kids and tell them I loved them.

The news said that the Principal announced this on the Schools Public Address System.  I'm thinking the Principal as well may have been in some sort of shock because I don't understand why he would do that.  Actually let me back up and say I can see the reasoning of not wanting rumors to fly and the importance of the truth but I was very surprised to hear that it was announced this way.   I'm an adult and would find a public announcement over a PA system about the death of a friend a little traumatizing.  Imagine those students who were friends with all three.
