On The Other Hand.......

This out of Washington, DC., March 20, 2006.  I. Lewis, "Scooter," Libby was disbarred by a DC court for perjury until 2012.  The ruling was for his perjury in the Valerie Plame case, while working as assistant to Vice President DICK Cheney. In other words, regardless of who you work for, naughty, naughty.  Dasn't do.  Just because your boss is a high ranking schmuck, doesn't mean you'll get off scott free.

On the other hand.....Vice President, DICK Cheney, in an interview with Martha Raddatz of ABC news, answered the comment (about staying in Iraq) from Ms. Raddatz, where she stated, "Two thirds of Americans say it's not worth fighting, and they're looking at the value gain versus the cost in American lives, certainly, and Iraqi lives, said, "SO?"

Such care.  Such consideration for what his fellow Americans think of their elected leaders & how their country is being managed.  What the heck, the people are ONLY their employers who pay them.  In one way, I can certainly understand the mind set of DICK Cheney.  It took a Supreme court Justice to get him into office.  He then proceeded to help screw the American people.  Now that he's going to be leaving office, he can just go back to heading Halliburton & screw the American people again.  This time, for a heck of a lot more money, without the aid of highly questionable voting practices or the help of a Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

Maybe, some day in the future, some one may make a soap opera or a reality show out of this.  Maybe then there will be enough people paying attention.  Maybe then, there will be enough people who care.  JATFUR.

I really have hard time beleiving that he just said "so" after ms. raddatz asked that question, especiallly without saying anything else, are you being completely truthful with that?  I grant that dick cheney dosen't seem like the nicest person in the world and is great at shooting his attorney ny friends.  I'll also grant that the supreme court put the bush-cheney ticket into the white house, however, both were re-elected with over 50% of the vote.  But really don't act like this is the first time a ticket lost the popular vote but won the election, as was the case in the elections of 1824, 1876, 1888 and 2000 if my off the top of the head history is right.  I would disagree that this vice president, not a vice president b/c there have been some, has just screwed the country or helped to do so for the last seven years.

As far as scooter is concerned, that is at-least some punishment after being...........given clemency or pardoned?  Naughty, Naughty no matter who you are, there should be consequences

Foxx,

You are right.  He did go on to further comments.  You can, if you wish, get the text.  If I'm not mistaken, I got the story from the Drudge report, via another news organisation.  I also saw the story in other pubs.  But I find that of all the things he could have said, & the things he said afterward, he deliberately chose that one word retort.  It might be a bit telling of his character, so to speak.

As for screwing the country,  I may or may not be correct.  Unfortunately, some of the people we would have to ask are dead.  Others have had their tax dollars wasted.  Others aren't even born yet.  Sorry 'bout that. JATFUR.
