Brand New Walmart.......ITS OPEN ..Where is the park...Another Great bargin by our Commissioners
Ok we got another Brand New Walmart but where is the PARK ? The County Officals bargined with Walmart to build a Park for Disabled Children, Now the Walmart Open Where is the PARK,Why did they let Walmart open with out the park being done.......Great Planning Clay County Commissioners.....Whats going on here....... Put the park in maintain it and Open the Walmart all at one time.....I think Walmart can afford it....and what about the empty walmart.....maybe the commissioners can make it County Jail #2 Submitted by Foxx on Fri, 03/14/2008 - 11:42pm.

Just what the county needs is another park to mow the lawn. Let Wally World run the park they have the money.

Don; I hear what you're saying on this one. My first thought when reading the story was why would we let them open the store before the noise and light mitigation was taken care of? Magnum; As for the park? My feeling is this was not a smart move on our part. The store is giving the land and building the park because we told them they have to. In addition, it sounds like the store is also donating $1.2M. We should have been thinking about how we were going to maintain this park when we negotiated the original deal. We probably could have gotten them to maintain it for at least a few years while we figured out how to take it over. My feeling is this park probably won't last 5 years. There is a park at Walmart. Its the parking lot of cars outside of Walmart at the red light. Just what we needed another red light and a single entrance to Walmart and a light that stays green for just a second. It's causing a park its just a parking lot. Where do we get these planners from in the county. They will not get to build a park because it seems they will need to open the back way to Moody that they said would never happen. Well somebody is going to have to fix this problem somehow.

By there are no signs.......THANKS TO THE SIGN ORDINANCE OK now Clay Co goverment Officals can plan for there ADULT RED LIGHT AREA

Donny, maybe you should run for the county commission. I'll vote for you just on the basis that you change the sign ordinance and put more signs up..... NOT. I gotta say you and angela aren't happy no matter what, almost reminds me of a typical obama's wife type of democrat. I bet you can't wait for that park, you're gonna have so much fun. When they build it, it may fail due to a lack of County funds.
