Information from Sheriff's OfficePeriodically, members of the Clay County Sheriff's Office will provide information via the My Clay Sun blog in response to blogs related to the Sheriff's Office, public safety and crime in our area. Our goal is to provide information to readers that corrects inaccuracies or expands further on posted information that is helpful to the community. To that end, please note the following in response to a blog posted this afternoon that stated a person died from being tased by a deputy this weekend. There was no such incident. The last CCSO taser-related incident that involved the death of a suspect was on 9-30-06 in the South Hampton neighborhood. I was talking about the young man who died off College Dr. That must be the South Hampton neighborhood that is described above. Oh well it was a good blog until it got pulled. Submitted by Angela on Tue, 03/11/2008 - 10:09am.
This man wins in a court of law for unnecessary use of force. Of course this is not Florida where if you attend a rally and asked too many questions and then you are Tasered which is ruled justified use of force. Then required to apologize to the police. "Don't tase me bro" how about don't violate my constitutional rights bro. How about a disabled woman in a wheel chair tasered to death and ruled justified homicide. Speak up Florida this is out of control and with so many deaths related to and when using a Taser it's time to speak up. When the use of Tasers were introduced to the public it was to be used instead of a gun. Would this situation have warranted killing this man? That could have been the results.

Justified Submitted by Angela on Tue, 03/11/2008 - 10:09am Mr Massey is planning to file a lawsuit against the Utah Highway Patrol. He says he was already slowing down as he approached the 40 mile per hour sign in the construction zone outside of vernal. All charges except for the speeding ticket have been dropped. CNN reported this morning that he had won a claim in the case. What information are you considering misinformation? This happened in 2007 and I referenced the video and the article for the readers of the blogs to review. Submitted by Angela on Tue, 03/11/2008 - 12:17pm.
Just reported he won 40k for this tasering event. Inaccurate Information ?

You referenced the original article but you stated, "This man wins in a court of law for unnecessary use of force." You failed to cite the article confirming he had won a case, and you still have not supported that he had won. Talk is cheap back up your information with a reference other than that liberal rag of a website you posted originally.

Here you go Angela I did your work for you. You damaged your reputation last Friday with the inaccurate posting about the supposed taser death over the weekend in Clay County. Maybe you should invest in a book for writing and citing information. Thanks for the article. It was reported on several news stations. I didn't make any statements last week when the blog was pulled about the Taser death. I think you have supplied misinformation again. That blog concerning a man tasered on Saturday night was started by Cookie. Not me. I had no knowledge a man was tasered on the previous Saturday night. Neither did I make any statements concerning that incident because I had no knowledge of that incident. I don't know how you get an attitude out of a liar. Who blantantly lied on camera to another officer about the incident. Law enforcement and liars how nice. Of course it's justified, everything is justified just like I stated in the other blog. Even to the extent of justified homicide.

College Dr.Submitted by Angela on Fri, 03/07/2008 - 6:31pm. I was talking about the young man who died off College Dr. That must be the South Hampton neighborhood that is described above. Oh well it was a good blog until it got pulled. Submitted by Angela on Tue, 03/11/2008 - 1:24pm.
I made a comment in a blog started by Cookie where they provided the information that you stated was not true. I stated that the only death that I knew of a young man off of College Dr in a neighborhood. Is South Hampton off College Drive? That statement was made after Cookie provided the information that you state was not true. Was that statement of mine not true. Didn't a young man die after being Tased off College Dr. Is South Hampton some other place in Clay County? The Sheriff's Office came on the blogs to clear up the date of the death. Which is the one I was talking about. Are you saying no one was tasered off College Dr and died?

I believe the posting by CCSO answers that question. Submitted by Angela on Tue, 03/11/2008 - 1:32pm.
I never said this past weekend friend. That was someone else who made that statement. To be exact Cookie posted that blog. Not Angela. I posted about the death off College Drive. So what misinformation did I provide?

Angela since we are such great friends and you are so special to me I have looked up some information for you. The below links are about Tasers since you have such a great interest. Submitted by Angela on Tue, 03/11/2008 - 1:56pm.
My Mom thinks I'm special too. In the info provided by you it states: Generally speaking, all of the manufacturers take the position that their stun gun products are a non-lethal alternative to the use of deadly force by law enforcement officers. What is was sold to the public and it is now used for on the public is completely different.

I know there is a different version sold to the public. I have rode the lightening bolt for five seconds and lived to talk about it. It’s a long hard ride but I manned up and got me some. I loved it! I have carried one for many years and never used it. I had a couple of times when it would have been justified to deploy, but I like the physical contact better. This is old school Po Po talkin!

If you commit a crime, get tazed or shot, oh well. I hope it's caught on tape and the cop did everything by the book and doesn't over-step authority. Are there cops who overstep? YEP. Of course, you only read or hear about those cops who overstep during a confrontation with a out-of-control moron. You never hear about the hundreds of thousands of contacts cops have with unruly, disrespectful arse-holios where the cop never breaks a sweat and maintains a professional and calm demeanor when any one of us would snap in a second and wanna slap the living crap outta the creep. I pulled duty wearing the forest green uniform for 2 years straight on the border between Calexico, CA and Mexico. Believe me, my heart goes out to all those who wear the badge and are sworn to protect the public. Can't come down on ALL of them just because a few are morons. I'll bet you that you can find a few bad apples in every profession. Like the dentist who was molesting his patients, the priests who were naughty, etc... Hey, if a cop flashes their lights at you, pull over...see what they want...be cooperative and I bet ya 100 to 1 odds you are on your way in no time...NO TAZER.
