This is an issue that really bothers me and should bother others but nobody seems to be speaking up against it. Who decided that celebrities were above the law? No matter how serious the crime, they always get away scott free and if they do get some form of punishment it's usually a piddly amount of community service hours. What is wrong with the general public that they don't see that this isn't right? Celebrities are humans just like everybody else and if they commit a crime then they deserve to do the time like everybody else. They are not better anyone or anything despite what they or anyone else might like to think just because of their fame. This is a gross display of inequality.
And speaking of inequality, I also want to know who decided that celebrities deserve to make millions of dollars? It's not as though they are doing anything extremely spectacular since obviously anyone can act if trash like Paris Hilton is starring in movies. Wouldn't that money be better off it was used to up the wages of the people who do things like pick up your garbage?
