Gockle 5k Run/Walk

The Gockle 5K “Run for the Prize” honors the memory of a young man whose passion was to see the youth of this generation grow outside of themselves and bring life and love to those who are hopeless and hurting. This run will raise funds to send today’s youth to the nations to carry on the vision that Johnny Hohman pursued in his love for people regardless of stature or position.  Persevering through years of kidney dialysis, Johnny never gave up and inspired his family, friends, and youth group to “run for the prize” of living an overcoming life. Johnny entered this life July 25, 1977 and entered perfection February 28, 2007.

This run/walk is open to participants of all ages and includes a free, one-mile “Fun Run” for children 12 and under. Awards are given to the top male and female runners in each age category as well as the overall top male and female runners. All events are held on the campus of New Life Christian Fellowship on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 8 AM.
