Appears Sheriff Candidate Mike Taylor's Campaign Violated Law...

I know all readers had to see the Mike Taylor for Sheriff campaign signs throughout Clay County yesterday.  They were placed at all, or most, polling locations throughout Clay County on the Public Right-of-way.  This is in violation of Clay County's sign ordinance.

One would think that someone running for Sheriff would at-least be familiar with, and abide by, the laws of Clay County.  Notice you did not see any other Sheriff candidates' signs out; they must know and respect the laws of Clay County.

Contact was made with Clay County Code-Enforcement(904-269-6310) who confirmed that if the signs were on County Right-of-way they were definitely in violation of the law.  If you observed them, you saw that in some locations they were even placed between the sidewalk and the road.  This is a flagrant violation because it obstructs the sidewalk and distracts vehicle operators.

Someone will respond to this and say it was just some anxious volunteer for Mike Taylor that did this.  If Mike Taylor or any of his campaign members observed these violations yesterday, He nor they did anything to correct it, because the signs were still up at 7:00 P.M. in multiple locations.

You, as a concerned citizen, deserve to know what type of candidate you are looking at here.  Some might say that he did this for name recognition.  Well it worked, Mike Taylor should be recognized as the Sheriff candidate who has no regard for the law.
