OK, I admit as a parent...there are tricks to the trade.
Do you leave cookies and milk for Santa Clause? Yeah. It's a no brainer.
But there are other tricks that "sell" Christmas.
My favorite is buying some red material at a fabric store and then tearing off a piece of it and placing it on the fireplace grate. On Christmas morning when we discover it I say, "Holy cow, Santa must have a hole in his Santa suit. He tore it on the way out of the chimney."
That's so cool...we have the material.
