Choices

We all make choices everyday. We choose to get out of bed, we choose to brush our teeth, we choose what’s for breakfast. We choose...

We make choices all day long. What is the foundational truth about choice? We all choose something and we all live with our choice.

What causes us to choose what we choose? Is it past experience? It is desire? What you choose to do with your life directs you life. Who you choose to believe, follow, love, hate, shun, shapes your life.

Adam & Eve chose to disobey God and ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Noah chose to obey God and not the crowd, and built the ark.

David chose to fight Goliath.

David (now King David) chose to sleep with Bathsheba, the wife of Uriah, one of his most loyal military leaders, and then when Bathsheba became pregnant King David chose to have Uriah killed.

King David chose to repent of this heinous deed.

Job chose not to “curse God and die” and stayed his course with a faithful God.

Daniel chose to pray to God and not to King Nebucadnezzar’s Golden image.

Jonah chose to go to Tarshish and not Nineveh (as God told him to do)

Jesus chose 12 disciples one of which was “a devil”.

Judas chose to betray Jesus.

Peter chose to deny Jesus not once but 3 times.

The bible is full of people making choices. Some good, some bad. Some chose to obey while others chose to disobey.

Every choice has a consequence. Your choices shape your life.

You choose what you see.

You choose what you hear.

You choose what you say.

You choose who you hang out with.

You choose who you don’t hang with.

You choose who to believe.

You choose who to follow.

You have chosen to read this blog.

Your choice shapes you life!

It is time for you to make a choice.

There is a way that seems right for a man, but in the end it leads to destruction”.
