FERNANDINA BEACH 23, KEYSTONE HEIGHTS 21

Running back Terrell Dallas caught a 4-yard TD pass from Emory Wingard, giving Fernandina Beach (5-0, 2-0 District 3-2A) a district win over previously unbeaten Keystone Heights (3-1, 1-1).

The Indians had taken a 21-17 lead with four minutes left in the game.

Wingard threw for 286 yards and three TDS.

Keystone Heights running back Dennis Taylor rushed for a game-high 117 yards and Matt Story rushed for 74 and a TD, as the Indians outgained Fernandina Beach in rushing yards, 225-41. 

The Indians will play at West Nassau on Friday night.

BAKER COUNTY 42, RIDGEVIEW 14

Baker County (5-0) churned out 523 rushing yards to pound Ridgeview, and the Wildcats' coach wasn't please to see even those two touchdowns scored by Ridgeview in the second half of this rout.

"I was very upset that we gave up those points," Baker County head coach Bobby Johns told the Times-Union. "Not that Ridgeview isn't a good team, but the way we gave it up, making a costly penalty that allowed them to keep a drive going and giving up the long pass for a score. I wasn't pleased with that."

Ridgeview quarterback Derek Hatcher's 38-yard TD pass to Riley Hill was one of the few bright moments for the Panthers (3-2). They entered the game with the No. 1 passing game in Northeast Florida, but Hatcher was held to 147 passing yards, completing 15-of-28 passes.

Baker County's rushing game not only produced points, but piled up time of possession to keep the ball out of Hatcher's hands. It was truly a team rushing effort, with Harold Moore the only running back with more than 100 yards. He ran for 129 yards and two TDs.

Ridgeview will play at Nease on Friday night.
