Mercury in our drinking water?

These new energy efficent light bulbs have mercury in them.

Reading the package it says "dispose of properly"

That means that they are treated like all toxic materials and should be taken to the dumps hazzards waste site.

I submitt that less than 1% of 1% of the people are going to do that. They are going to throw them in the regular trash, which goes to the dump. Then they will be crushed with the regular trash and the mercury will leak into the ground and make its way the water aquafier. Then you and your family will be drinking that water. I know that mercury in my body or my childrens body is not healthy.

To all the envitonmentlists, save our children, concerned citizens, and any other group, please use your weight to get these light bulbs banned from Clay county. I hope everyone will contact their commisoner and let them know that we want these light bulbs banned from being sold in Clay county.
