This is mindblowing, and quite possibly the biggest waste of time since...well, ever

I turned 15 last January. You might say I'm lazy, but I'm only taking my D.A.T.A. course right now to get my permit. Yeah, that's right, I'm taking it right now. This is a leeeeengthy course about the dangers of drinking and driving. Here's the kicker, it's in like, 100 "modules" and you can't pass a module until a timer is finished counting down, even if you're done with the questions they have at the end of each module, so I've been waiting for this timer to clock down for about 40 minutes now. I started this exam at about 8 o clock, I'm not even close to done and it's 11:01. Oh, by the way, I'M PAYING 35 DOLLARS FOR THIS.

This is what I don't understand though. I'm 15, I can't drink anyway. Even if I was 21 and could drink, it's still illegal to do so while driving. Why bother explaining to me why I can't drink and drive, it's already set in stone that I can't do it. No one has to take a 4 hour course on money laundering, explaining why that's bad. It's just ridiculous, I'm constantly hearing that drinking and driving is bad. I get it. That's a point that's been made to me at leas 1,000 times in my life, and I'm going to hear it 1,000 more times. It's been established that it's bad, I don't need to blow 35 dollars on it.

The following is an actual excerpt from the exam,

8. Prescription drugs can impair your ability to driver safely.

True False

Mindboggling. I'm missing the NBA draft, I've wasted 35 dollars, AND THE EXAM'S NOT EVEN PROOFREAD? DRIVER SAFELY? It's absurd that this is a requirement, and I seriously don't want to hear about how many lives would be saved if people wouldn't drink and drive, because there's no point. People who drink and drive know very well that what they are doing is against the law and totally not cool, but they choose to do it anyway for whatever reason. I've learned all of this information at one point or another at school in health class, the only difference here is that money is wasted, and I missed Portland pick Greg Oden. (side note: The Knicks are a big winner. Zach Randolph!)

Well, I should probably get back to the exam. That ticker is just about down to zero.
