How did your restaurant "fare"?
Have you ever been enjoying a meal at a fine restaurant (or slopping your way through a burger and fries) and wondered what was happening behind the kitchen's swinging doors? Well, we have compiled a list of all the restaurant violations from every establishment in Northeast Florida, which means that your favorite haunt is definitely listed. Just to whet your appetite- one Clay County eatery had 52 violations this year. Ready to peek behind those doors? Just drag that mouse of yours to the "News" link in the black menu bar at the top of the page and you'll see "Restaurant Violations" appear just underneath. Click on that and you'll be there!

It's here for good- and even better, the information is updated every 15 days. But if you have any problems/comments with the workings, just let me know. Submitted by RichK on Wed, 06/27/2007 - 11:21am.
Jonathan, Thank your for the reply & the info. RichK

I was surprised to find so many restaurants with multiple problems, on several different inspection dates. That's way TOO MUCH INFORMATION! Very informative! Submitted by RichK on Wed, 06/27/2007 - 2:01pm.
Islander, I'll agree that there are times when one gets too much information (TMI) but one also has to remember that knowledge is power. You now have the knowledge. You now have the power. Bon apetit, big guy. RichK Submitted by licia on Sat, 06/30/2007 - 5:57pm.
Is there a site of listings for all restaurants or is it necessary to check each one I'm interested in researching?

Well, if you want to look at every restaurant in Clay County, you can just choose that county from the county list and press search. You can do the same thing for cities and zip codes. Hope that helps! 904.359.4538 e-mail Jonathan

Jonathan- I'd looked for specific restaurants prior to this but just now took a peek at the whole list. I, too, will stay home for awhile now. One question, if I don't find a restaurant listed, does this mean it passed with zero infractions? I can not, to my delight, find Sarnelli's listed here.
