The 2008 Northeast Florida Memory Walk, which is the national signature fundraising event of the Alzheimer’s Association, will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at The Jacksonville Landing. Nearly 1,200 local residents are expected to participate in this year’s event to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer’s disease.

On Monday, September 22, the Clay County Historical Society will hold their monthly meeting at 7 PM in the upstairs courtroom of the Old Clay County Courthouse located at the Historic Triangle on Walnut St. 

Following a brief meeting, there will be a program presented by Mrs. Roberta Nicholls, the church historian for the Paran Baptist Church in Grandin, Florida which will soon celebrate its 150th birthday.

On Saturday, September 27, at 2:30, the Middleburg-Clay Hill Public Library will be showing the popular movie "Flushed Away", by Dreamworks Studios.  Ages 6 to 12 are welcome to attend, the movie is rated PG.  The showing will last 90 minutes and will be finished at 4:00.  "Someone's going down!!"
