The Orange Park Women's Connection will have their July meeting at 6:00 PM at the Howard Johnson's at 150 Park Ave.  Men are welcome to join the ladies as they enjoy hearing from Dr. Drew Edwards, behavioral health researcher, author, counselor, and host of Parenting Segment on FM 88.1 The Promise.  Cost is $20 inclusive.  Reservations must be made by calling (904) 531-9034.

Congratulations to the Heat Baseball Travell Team from OPAA. They placed 2nd out of 24 teams. Their record stands for itself, that week they had 26 HR's and a batting average .426. They had a Great Season, not only did they go to Cooperstown, they also took home State USSSA Championship and a Super NIT Championship. Hats off to the Coaches,players and parents of this Super Team.

Advent Lutheran Church of Orange Park joins Lutheran Outdoor Ministries of Florida to bring the summer Bible camp experience to the children of Orange Park. Campers will sing campfire songs, study bible stories and create crafts. This is an active camp full of prayful playing. Dates: June 29 to July 3. Time: 9 AM to 3 PM. Students ages 6-12 have an opportunity to take a drawing class at Lakeside Elementary. The class is coordinated through Young Rembrandts. This week's theme is "Cartoon Zoo Camp". Students will learn cartoon expressions, movement, exaggeration, sequencing to tell a joke while drawing giraffes, elephants, bears, monkeys and more. In celebrating Aquatics Safety Month the YMCA is holding a Family Safety Seminar every Monday and Wednesday with beach and backyard water safety. The thirty minute sessions will be held at 10am and 7pm at both the Barco Newton and Clay County Family YMCAs.
