Calling all nature lovers! - Wings Over Clay County is sponsoring a Winter Nature and Bird Festival at First Baptist Church of Middleburg (across the street from Publix) on Saturday, February 9 from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. In addition to nature-related crafts, games and a puppet show for the kids, the event will feature representatives from The Audubon Society, the Keystone Farmers Market Organic Club, Jennings Forest, Penney Farms Birdwatchers, Untamed Adventures (an outdoor group for women), H.A.W.K.E.*, The Wildlife Rescue Coalition, Creation Education Resources, Wild Birds Unlimited, The Garden Club of Middleburg, Inc., Tractor Supply Co., Clay County Agriculture and Horitcultural branch, the Middleburg Historic Museum, Trout Creek State Park and others providing information and educational materials for all ages. If you are a formal educator, a homeschooling parent or one who enjoys learning about birds and nature, you will not want to miss this fun and educational event!
