I am drinking my recently purchased Apple Juice from Winn Dixie, Winn Dixie's own brand, and I just happen to look at the bottle and noticed that the juice was not only made from concentrate which is, in itself, acceptable, but the concentrate was from CHINA!  Ye gads!  They have taken over everything! even Apples!

I guess when it rains it pours.  I was sorry to see all the flooding yesterday In places where I had never noticed puddles before.   

HERE IS MORE WET NEWS!

Tropical Storm Ana has formed.   The models vary widly on what is to become of this storm.  The present 5 day track has it heading into the upper keys.  The intensity is very uncertain but you can bet on rain

Tropical Depression 3 Has Formed.  This storm has a better concensus of the models and at this time also appears headed for South Florida.  TD-3 is forecast to become a Hurricane within 72 hours and one model has it becoming a CAT 3!.   

I am hoping someone with true knowledge can tell me why School Zones and Crossings have different speeds.  There does not seem to be any logic to the process of assigning the speed limit.  I see 15 MPH, 20 MPH, and 25 MPH. Someone please help me understand. I always try my best to drive the posted limit at all times and this one is borderline insane.

It just occurred to me.  The Governor should nominate Corrine Brown for the vacated seat in the Senate.

I am not being funny.   If you think deeply about it it makes excellent sense.

I was sitting at the light this afternoon at Northbound CR 209, waiting to turn left on 220 toward Middleburg.  I noticed that the curbs are in for the new part of 209 next to the BP station.  It appeared to me that the curb next to the BP station is considerably lower than the side by the church.  Is this by design? Is it supposed to have a positive impact on drainage?  Or, on the other hand, are we going to see flooded out cars stalled when that road opens.

Yesterday was the weekly ritual of dragging yard debris to the curb for collection by Advanced Disposal.

I happen to look out just as the truck was pulling away with most of my load. No surprise there, they usually leave behind a little something.  In light of the recent increase in fees passed by the "tax and spend" BCC it has become my mission to insist on getting what I am paying for.  I have to pay for 100% of the fee.  I expect to see 100% collected.  With this in mind I chased down the truck to get the number.

Enroute I passed one other place where they had stopped.  It was a huge mess! So I called the number on the side of the truck.  Reported where it was and which truck it was.

OGV, Thanks for setting up that meeting on Thursday.  I was sitting in the second row, behind Durwood in the almost white sports coat (clean shaven)  where were you?
